Where Did it go so wrong. The Overlords reign and Kai's Transformation

Chapter 5

Cole's p.o.v

Groaning, I open my eyes. Vision blurred at first, it slowly clears. I'm laying in a small pond of water, Jay and Nya on my right, Zane on the left. Going to sit up, I can't cause of the chains. Zane is pulled out, followed by Nya and Jay. Hands hook under my arms, I too am pulled out. Thrashing, I'm slamed on the ground. A hand, vengestone covered, comes in my vision. I still, the hand pulls away. A face than appers, the one eye looking over myself.

Nodding, the figure goes to the pond, a bowl in his hand. Filling the bowl, he goes to the side. Lloyd leaned on a rock. I want to go but the chains keep me bound. Jay wakes up, Nya shakes her head and Zane boots up. "What, where are we Cole." Nya asks.

"I could ask the same. But the guy that has us, hasn't said a word." I say. Jay curls up around Nya, the guy perks his head up from cleaning Lloyd's chest. "I find is peculiar we are chained, Lloyd is over there and Kai is nowhere to be found." Zane said. A rumble as me looking at the deepest emerald green eyes of a dragon. He pulls back, going to the figure. Curling around hem, it's tail wraps around the figure.

"All I have to say is if he touches Nya, he'll pay. No one messes with my girl." Jay said, curling more around Nya. She puts her head in Jay's chest. "I want Kai, I want my brother. My hothead, fire bender brother." She says. "I want to know where he is. Did we win against the Overlord. Is that why Lloyd's hurt." I say. Looking over, the figure is gone.

I'm leaned forward, hands messing with the chains. They fall, I rub my wrists as the vengestone man unlocks the others. Going to Lloyd, the dragon growls. A whistle has said dragon back up, but on the defense. Vengestone man kneels beside Lloyd, wrapping linens around his chest. "Who are you." I ask. He looks and reaches up. Loosening the clasps, three, he pulls the helmet off. At first, I don't know hem but the amber red/brown spiked hair has me stepping back. Kai dips his head, going back to Lloyd, but he never touches the face plate.

Lloyd slowly opens his eyes, seeing Kai, he hugs Kai. Kai returns it, that's when I notice Lloyd has aged. A lot. Going to the pond, I look at myself, the face that looks back, is older, hair shaggy and long. Jay has aged and so has Nya. A tap on my shoulder has me looking at Kai. He motions to the shelves of books. Going to the last one, he takes it out carefully and opens it. Flipping through to an entry, he turns it around. I read the start of it. Moving back in shock, Kai grasps my arm. I stair at the grip he has, he's bearly holding it but I can tell with much, very much restrained strength. Nya hugs Kai, hem returning it, again with restrained strength. The green dragon walks behind Kai, nipping his knee.

Kai's p.o.v

Feeling Soren nip my knee, I round on hem. Soren wraps his tail around me, throwing me clean across the cavern. He stands in a stance, I get in one.

Cole's p.o.v

Kai charges at greenie, dragon breaths fire at hem. Kai answers with a blast of his own. The four of us are shocked. Kai is wearing vengestone armour, yet just used his element. Kai jumps up, bouncing off greens horns and high into the air. Twisting, Kai sends fire wrips at greenie. Blue in my sight has me looking at Wrisp. Jay goes to hem, Wrisp coos. Rocky nuzzles me, Shard picks Zane up. Flame lays curled over to the side, his head down. A load boom sounds, Kai has greenie pinned. He moves back, greenie stands, licking Kai's cheek. Than Kai wrips his head at Flame, who had picked his head up.

Kai's p.o.v

Flame calls me, I sprint over. Flame has been going down hill ever since Zane hit her with ice. Skidding infront of her, I fall to my knees. Flame lays her heavy head in my lap. 'For every fire, there's a guardian. I am yours, or I was. I'm losing the fight, my life is coming to an end. Take my power, free Ninjago, and find a mate.' She says. I nod, nuzzling her muzzle. As Flame's fire dies, her body turns to dust, the gold surrounding me. It melts into me, filling, warming me. It fills my heart, my mind, my spirit with life and love.

As it calms, I send a prayer that the first spinjitzu master would welcome Flame. Standing, wripping my only eye, I turn to the others. Shard, Rocky, and Wrisp all come, curling around me. Cole, Jay, Nya, Zane, and Lloyd look at us. They don't know the bond we forged, the blood spilled.

Lifting my head, I look at them. Making a vow, the Overlord will fall. He will pay for the pain and suffering he has caused.
