Where Did it go so wrong. The Overlords reign and Kai's Transformation

Chapter 6

Kai's p.o.v

Going to the fire, set about making dinner. Zane comes over, I hand hem the cutting board and knife. He takes it, sliding the bowl, I point to the onions, potatoes, carrots and parsley. He nods, setting out to do it. Fire ball in hand, I set the logs on fire. Going to the pond, filling the pot, I carry it to the rock that's sitting over the fire. Soren curls around me as I cut the meat up, setting it on the rock to partly cook. "Kai." Zane says.    

Turning, he hands the bowl of now cut ingredients. I point to the potatoes and carrots, motioning for smaller cuts. Zane nods, taking them and cuts them in half real quick. Dropping them in the pot, I check the meat. Seeing its just right, I cut them up more, throwing the pieces in.

Cole and Jay come over, holding their hands out. Lloyd sits beside me, Nya beside Jay. Zane looks around, not finding it. I tilt my head in question. "A stir, something to mix the pot." I nod, reaching between the rocks in the stand and pull out the stir. Zane goes to stir it but I stop hem. "Not ready to be stired." He asked. I nod, putting more coal in the fire.

As the pot boils, I nod to Zane. He starts stirring the ingredients. After a bit, I stop hem, getting bowls out, Soren lifts his head up as I set one infront of hem. Rocky, Wrisp and Shard come over for their helping. They nuzzle me, putting in thanks. Rubbing their heads, I fix the others. Passing them out, I take my own. Reaching up, pulling my hair back, I revile the embedded metal. Lloyd reaches up, touching one, I recoil, it hurts. He rubs my arm, eyes sorry, I side hug hem. Pulling my hair again, I undo the right clips holding the face plate. Pulling it up and off, my face in reviled.

Cole's p.o.v

When Kai took the face plate off, it's a good thing I hadn't started eatting. He's jaw is twisted in four areas, one at the hinge. Than the sight off the eye socket stitched together. He points to his jaw, punching the air than points at me. I hang my head. He than points to his eye, pulls a dagger out and points to Jay. Jay turns his head away. But than he waves his arms, takes the dagger and carves the ground. 'I forgive y'all.' I'm lost for words. We hurt hem and he forgave us.

He brings the bowl to his lips, mouth open slightly and dips his head back. He drinks the broth, slowly cause it looks like it hurts. Finishing, he slowly eats the pieces of food. Now it's clear why their cut so small, it pains Kai to move his jaw and I'm the cause of it. Setting my bowl down, I leave, walking down a tunnel.

Jay's p.o.v

Kai watch's as Cole leaves, replaces the plate and follows after. I follow as well, finding the two near a stream. Cole is against the wall, Kai holding hem. Cole struggles to throw hem off but Kai is stronger than he is. I clear my throat, Kai looks at me. Cole knees hem, but the armour protects hem. Kai takes a sash, tying Cole's hand and legs. Setting hem down, Kai stands infront. 'Now, why would you try to jump down the fall.' Kai signs. Cole arches his brow, I walk up, translating. Kai nods in thanks, looking back at Cole. "Cause I broke your jaw, made you the way.you are now.." "And.. I took his eye out, you don't see me trying the commit suicide. Cole, we were under the Overlord's control." I say. Cole turns his head, hanging his head. "I did worse." Cole says. I can only look as Kai sits, removing armour and rolling his right pants leg up.

Four scars in various places are on the back side. He points to all four than gestures to me. I step back, I did that. Kai rolls the leg down, standing, he unties Cole. Motioning us to follow, we return to the main room. The others haven't moved. Kai goes to a shelf made into the wall, only now do I notice the lemp. He skims the books, going straight for the very first one. Opening it, he flips through, coming to the beginning. He turns it to us, handing it over.

I take it, reading the neat cursive writing.
' Two weeks, two weeks since coming here. Two weeks since Ninjago fell. Two weeks since....the Overlord won. Ultra brought me here to heal and to survive. I sit in the pond everyday for the last week, but my leg won't get any better. Jay threw four kuni at me, they embedded in my right leg. Said leg is now weaker than before. In hurt that Jay did it, but I know he's not in control. I'll hurt worse when I'm fighting them. The thing is, right now, they think I'm dead. Ultra has scouted the city and the Overlord hung my old gi as a symbol to those that oppose hem. So right now, curled into ultras neck, I buy my time. Waiting, learning, getting stronger. And when the time comes, I'll free Ninjago or die trying.'

I close the book, looking at Kai. He takes it, placing it back and moves to a different part. Going about midway in the part, he pulls out a book. Flipping through, he stops near the end, handing it to Cole this time.

'The Overlord has ruled for a decade. In all that time, he never found out I was alive. That was until five weeks ago. Doing an ambush on a patrol. Zane caught sight of me, he gave chase. I'll give it to hem, when he finally grabbed hold of me, it took everything he had to bring me down. He brought me before the Overlord, Zane and Cole held me. Lloyd was off to the side, not moving but he was alive. My helmet got ripped off, Jay came over with a dagger. Cole, grabbing my hair, jurked my head back and Jay gouged my right eyeball out. (It's now stitched closed.) I got out of zane's and Cole's hold, going to run, Cole pinned me against the wall. He delivered a right hook, shattering my jaw in four places. I got outside, Shard rescued me. She brought me back, placing me in the pool. I woke the next morning. Making a face mask, it'll protect and hide my injuries. Well, this is Kai signing off.'

Cole hands Kai the book back, Kai puts it back, grabbing the next. He flips through, stopping near the beginning. He hands it to me.

'M and Soren had infiltrated the main factory of the Overlord's. Only two months have past sence my eye was ripped out and jaw broken beyond imaginable. I've places bombs in every part but the boiler room. Going, I set the charges when Jay drops down. He taunts me, thinking he's won saying "Nice try, firebird." We went at it. He failed to roundhouse kick me. I delivered one to his temple. As he fell, his sword cut my neck, frying my vocals. Now I'm mute. But, I'll say this this, when this hell is done and over with, me or the Overlord will be standing.'

Handing the book back, Kai places it in its spot. He turns back to us, arms wrap around hem from behind. Kai stiffens, twisting and jacks Lloyd up. When he sees who it is, Kai sets Lloyd down. 'Sorry Lloyd' Kai signs. Lloyd touches his arm, than to you shock, kisses Kai on the faceplate where his lips are. Kai steps back in surprise. We all knew Lloyd had a crush on Kai, only, Kai didn't know.

Kai's p.o.v

When Lloyd kissed the plate over my mouth, I didn't know what to think at first. But I knew how to show it. Removing the plate, I pull Lloyd to me, crushing my mouth to his. He melts into me, I see the guys slapping skin. Pulling away, I look at them. 'Sneaky heffers.' I sign. Lloyd laughs, he than kisses my lips again. Nuzzling his neck, I happy. For the first time in eighteen years, I'm happy again.

Later that night, I lay on my pallet. A weight straddles me, opening my eyes, Lloyd greets me. 'What is it.' I sign. Lloyd smiles, he than starts grinding on me. The message is clear, and I want it as well. Sitting up, wrapping my arms around, I return the motions.
