Chapter 6

"Well, let's see how this goes," Sir Galahad says rubbing his hands and sitting back down eating the berries

As Merlin squirmed on his bed and his colour was coming back in his face, Gauis sent a guard to get the Knights of Ealoran in here. Once the guard went to get them, Gauis removed the wet cloth on Merlin as he was about to wake up any moment and prepared a tonic for him to take for regaining his strength 

"Who are u?" A familiar voice made Gauis jumped 

"Merlin!" Gauis exclaimed as he took his ward in an embrace 

Merlin didn't remember Gauis very well, but knew that he was an important figure in his life and hugged him 

"I know you don't remember much from this life, but you will soon be able to," Gauis tells him handing the small vile to Merlin "Take this, it will regain your strength,"

Merlin gave a curd nod as he drinks the liquid with his nose scrunched and glared at Gauis who was looking at him with a light smile. Right then the doors opened and Merlin turned around and saw the few people he had recognised and the knights had the same expression as they saw their Prince came to them and hugged him

"Sire, you have no idea for how long we have been looking for you," Sir James said 

"Titles James," Merlin said glaring "You know we are best friends, same for the rest of you,"

Merlin then sat back down on the cot, with his head in his hands

"How can i forget about losing my Kingdom?" Merlin muttered to himself "Sylvia, mother,"

James crouched down to Merlin's level and put a hand on his friend's shoulder in attempt to console him

"Oh gods," Merlin said as his eyes widened yet again "I am to be a king,"

The Knights were smirking as they give a slight bow to Merlin who huffed in response 

"There is a good news Merlin, we found Sylvia, she should be here in a couple days," James told him as Merlin nodded 

"Where are we right now?" Merlin asked them as he got up and stretched his hands a little 

"Camelot," Micheal answered uneasily 

Merlin looked at them with shocked eyes and then looked at his knights like they were gone crazy 

"Are you lot crazy? They could have me and Galahad executed," Merlin said but then stopped in his words when his land on the new old man "You are not to repeat this to anyone,"

"I have never done it before," Gauis answered him with a little hurt in his voice since Merlin couldn't remember him 

Gauis a thought in Merlin's voice head spoke 

"Gauis!" Merlin said excitedly smiling as he hug him 

Overjoyed that Merlin had remembered and a little shocked that how could he forget Gauis of all people. Suddenly the door opened and a man with blond hair stepped in with a puzzled look on his face on the company in front of him but addressed Merlin only 

"Finally i found you," Arthur said not waiting for Merlin response " Come on, you have to clean my chambers it's a complete mess and i have to get ready for meeting with the council this evening so i need you to polish my chain male and also feed the horses along with cleaning my-"

"Who do you think you are ordering me around like that?" Merlin exclaimed 

Arthur came a little closer to Merlin a little bewildered staring into the Prince's eyes 

"I am your king, idiot," Arthur said hitting Merlin behind the head 

Before Merlin could lash out on Arthur and then be in the stocks, Gauis interrupted 

"Sire," Gauis addressed 

"Yes," Arthur was shocked as him and Merlin answered together looking at Gauis 

"Why the hell did you answer that?" Arthur asked him 

Merlin was about to answer him telling him that he was a prince but before he could Gauis again interrupted

"Forgive him, he hit his head a little to hard and forgotten some things," Gauis explained to the lost king 

Arthur nodded a little before eyeing Merlin again but getting a warm feeling inside that was worried for a friend 

"Why didn't i know about this?" Arthur asked "And when will he regain his memory back?"

"Sire, accident just happened last night so i didn't really have time to worry you," Gauis explained "And he just has to go through his normal routine and he should get everything back, though don't work him too hard today at least, he needs to built his strength even though i gave him a tonic,"

"Of course," Arthur said "Merlin follow me,"

"You go ahead dollaphead, i will be with you in a minute," Merlin said emphasising on dollaphead 

Arthur gave him a glare before leaving and closing the door on his way out

"So i would take it that i am his servant," Merlin guessed

"Well said, Sire" Galahad said as earning a glare from the soon to be king 

"Then i should go about my day" Merlin said rubbing his hands and putting on his brown jacket and heading before bidding a goodbye and being followed by his knights 

As Merlin went outside, he didn't have one clue on where Arthur's chambers were. So being the smart man he was, he took his luck and instinct and went about the castle as his knights went to train with the others. As if on cue, Merlin saw Arthur going through a pair of doors which Merlin now remembered to be his chambers and went inside finding Arthur on his table 

"Merlin i need your advise on something," Arthur said eating an apple and Merlin replied with a nod "Should i help these knights? I mean they are kingdom of magic," 

Merlin thought for a minute and decided to give his answer though he didn't know why Arthur was asking a servant of all people

"I think you should help them Arthur," Merlin said folding a tunic "They maybe a kingdom of magic but that doesn't mean that they are danger to us, they never were in the first place. Even though they knew that Camelot would be defenceless if they attacked, we were always at peace with them with both the kings till now. And i believe that magic is not evil, what matters is the heart of the person using it. Think of it as a sword, it can be used for both good and bad, it just depends on how you use it,"

Listening to his manservant like that left Arthur completely shocked. Deep down he always knew that Merlin was more then what he gave him credit for but never did he think that Merlin would be like this 

"And if we were in this position, Ealoran would've helped us well regardless on our ban on magic," Merlin added 

It might be Merlin's kingdom that he has to save, but Merlin didn't say these to blackmail Arthur into helping him. He said because he believed in them, and they were true. Even when his father, they never had any quarrel with Camelot and when Merlin would be King, certainly not. And if it was any other Kingdom with magic who were looking for aid, Merlin would've given the same advise 

"Thank you Merlin," Arthur said standing up
