"But I want to know everything," He told me and I gave him a nod getting comfortable for a fun story time

Arthur's POV:
Having Merlin in my arms was more than I could ask for. I had dreamed of moments like this for so long and when I finally do get to hold him it had to be in a stage like this. I listened to care what he had to say about his magic and his life in Ealoran and I was very surprised but at the same time, I was calm because I had always known that there was something unique about Merlin. Now that I am hearing his side of the story on everything, I just feel guilty about everything
All the times that I had called him a coward and all the times that I had teased him on his actions and all the times that I thought he was in the tavern, he was actually either fighting for his life or saving my life or Camelot
"I am so sorry Merlin," I told him sincerely "All the time I teased you and spoke ill about your kind and when we thought that Balinor had died, why didn't you say anything?"
"My destiny was to protect you, Arthur," Merlin said lifting his head so his eyes were meeting mine "No matter the cost,"
I just comprehend the information he has told me earlier, he is the bravest amongst us and I didn't even know about it. If he didn't have a kingdom to rule and worry about right now, I would've knighted him this second. We just sit there for another hour or so, just enjoying each other's company because no words needed to be said. Merlin moves away from me as we get back on our feet and together make our way back to camp
"Are you going to tell them?" I asked him taking his hand in mine as we walk
"I should, I know that but I am afraid how they would react," Merlin answered a hesitantly "But I have to don't I?"
I gave him a curd nod "But I will be there with you, all the time," I told reassured him "We are in this together,"
"You know some people called us 'two sides of the same coin'," He says chuckling "I am the brightest side, of course,"
I shove him a little playfully and chuckle to myself amused. We laugh to ourselves as we reach the camp and we see that the kids are asleep except for a few who were playing with twigs pretending that they were wielding a sword
"Where did you two run off too?" Morgana asked rubbing her hands in front of the fire
"I...we were just..." I stuttered a little to get an answer out "I am the King, therefore, I don't need to answer to you,"
"Whatever you say, brother," she replied back winking as her eyes landed on my hand which was still clasped with Merlin's
I shake my head in defeat a just sit down near the fire as Merlin gets his water from the horse

(Back in Ealoran) Sylvia's POV:
Everyone was one edge in the village. The knights were all training non-stop though I told them not to tire themselves out. Without Merlin people are getting hard to come around, but I know that they are just nervous and some are scared. Of course all are scared, we don't have the man power compared to Marcus and moreover these people have given their children away for a little time, and thinking about their children will also strain them, but it was good because we can't put the children in danger like that
