Michael woke up due to his blinds being open. Infront of him stood one of the new careworkers, who he couldn't seem to remember the name of. He scrunched his eyes as the sudden burst of light comes through the window and he hide under his covers.
"Wakey, Wakey" She calls, smiling slightly. He groaned and hide further under his covers. The lady came over and say on his bed.'
"Your roommate will be here in a few hours" She says, gently patting his arm which is still under the blanket. This lady seems nice. Almost too nice...
He groaned once more, before pulling the covers off his head and sitting up. He looked her in the eye and glared. "Thanks for reminding me." He immediatly felt guilty, but did she really need to remind him? He stood up beside his bed and looked at her, waiting for her to leave.
She smiled appologeticaly, before making his bed. "Jacob sent me up here. He wanted me to tell you. I'm new incase you can't tell." He smiles slightly at her, before grabbing clothes on top of his dresser and heading into his bathroom. "Later today it would no longer be my bathroom, but our bathroom." He muttered to himself. He stared at himself in the mirror a second before jumping in the shower. The water is cold at first, but he quickly turned it up almost all the way and he just stood there for about 10 minutes before he realised he need to actually wash himself. After washing his hair and body, he stepped out of the now steamy shower, and wrapped a towel around himself. He quickly got changed into the clothes which he picked out - Black skinny jeans, a "Green Day" top, and his red flannel. He looked at himself in the mirror, inspecting his fading red hair. He despriatly needed to redye it. Infact, he thought he might do it today. So his roommate can't laugh at how badly it's faded. After drying his wet hair with a towel, he exited the bathroom, turning off the lights on the way out.
He walked over to his bed and floped onto it, causing the neatly made bed to crease. He closed his eyes for a few minutes, before flopping his hands to the side, like a starfish. His right hand bumped into something hard and he opened his eyes to find a tray with a bowl and a letter on it. "How come I never saw it there in the first place?" He thought to himself. He picked up the letter and read it.
"Thought you'd like your breakfast upstairs xx - Ann." He smiled as he read it. Ann must be the ladies name. Maybe she wasn't secretly evil. He picked up the bowl of cerial and begin eating it. He picked up one of his comics from the pile on his side table and flicked through it. He had already read it about 20 times. But since he lived in an Orphanage, he didn't exaclty have an unlimited selection of comics. So he just read whatever he had.
Once he had finished both his comic and his breakfast, he put the tray to the side and closed his eyes for a few minutes.
~~~~~~ (Time Skip)
After getting permission from Jacob to redye his hair, he was sat in the bathroom, with his head over the bathtub attemting to massage the hair dye into his hair. (Idk how to dye hair ok? xD) "This would be easier with a friend" he muttered to myself, continuing to rub the dye in.
After sitting with it in his hair for about half an hour, it was finally time to take it out. He unhooked the shower head from the wall and turned the shower on, attemting to wash it out without getting it on his clothes. Once he washed it all out, he looked at his hair in the mirror. It looked semi - decent, although he couldn't really tell as it was wet. He collected his old, almost broken hair dryer and plugged it in. He had half an hour until the new boy came. He started drying his hair. After about 5 minutes, his arm got tired from being up high, so he rested it on the counter, attempting to dry the back of his hair. Roughly 10 minutes later, he had finished drying it, and had just got it to sit the way he liked. He smiled into the mirror. His hair now looked perfect. The boy would be here in 15 minutes, and Michael was not emotionally ready one bit. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes quickly, before continuing walking through the door. Once he has opened his eyes, he looked around the room. And his mouth fell open. Half of Michael's room had been packed into boxes and were now laying on his bed. The half of the room was now empty, apart from the bed and bedside cabinet standing beside it. Michael's mouth still was hanging as he made his way over to the new bed. He found yet another note, this time saying:
"Sorry about this Michael, I moved the stuff while you were getting ready, Just unpack your things on your side of the room.
- Jacob
Michael ripped the note up in his hands before he threw it at the ground. "They could of asked" He thought to himself, making his way over to his own bed and plonking on it, moving his legs so they didn't hit the boxes. "Why did that boy have to move in with him" "He ruining my life" Michael stood back up and started rummaging through the boxes, placing some random junk away. Immediatly after he finished, Ann knocked on his door swiftly, before entering. She gave him a big toothy grin, before letting him know that the boy had arrived and telling him that he should probably go downstairs and meet him. He nodded slightly, before relutintly following her out the room and down the stairs.
"He's in here" Ann said, pointing to the room where they held all their "meetings". Michael nodded and smiled weakly at her, before taking a deep breath, and slowly opening the door. When he entered the room, he saw a circle of people gathered around someone- who he assumed was the new boy. He took another deep breath and walked over. He couldn't really see the boy in the middle because of he people surrounding him, no matter how many times he went on his tip toes. He tried to nudge a few people, so that they would let him in the circle, but people just kept blocking him out even more. He sighed and decided to just take a seat near the front. He sat fiddling with his jumper sleeves for a few minutes, before Mary came walking confidently into the room and started shouting at people to take a seat.
"Guys! Take a seat! We have someone we need to introduce!" She announced. Michael looked up, and looked over to the circle of people that were slowly making their way to their seats. A few more people sat down and he looked back down at his hands. He was away to see what his roommate looked like for the first time - and he was not ready one bit. A few moments later, while Michael was still lost in his thought, he heard a coughing sound. He looked up slowly.And standing there, looking at him, was the most gorgeous boy he had ever saw. He was about 6ft tall, with a blonde quiff that gave him about another foot and he had a lip ring. A f*cking lip ring.
And Michael was pretty sure he was his roommate.
