By the way Luke looks like how he usually does and Michael looks how he did 2 years ago

-

The boy standing in front of Michael looked down at him.

"Hi." The boy said. "My names Luke." He said smiling down at Michael. Michael stared at him for a moment, before the boy - Luke , coughed.

"o-um. I'm M-Michael" Michael replied suddenly, cursing his stutter. The boys smile returned.

"I think I'm your roommate?" he asked. Just before Michael was away to reply, Luke got pulled back slightly.

"Don't sit with that idiot" a voice said, which Michael recognised to be Mark, one of the people who would call him names. "Sit with us instead, we're much better" Mark glared at Michael. Luke made eye contact with Michael and Michael could tell him he was trying to apologise with his eyes. Michael nodded slowly before facing the ground. Luke hesitated for a moment before following Mark to the other side of the room where most people were sitting.

Michael wasn't disappointed. He knew it was coming, it always happened to him, he was used to it by now.

Ok everyone!" Mary began, and Michael looked up to see her at the front. "As you know, we have a new person arriving today, and that new person is here!" "Stand up Luke Hemmings!"

God she is so obnoxious Michael thought. Always cheerful.

Luke stood up, and walked over to Mary smiling. He is just like her Michael though. Everyone from the other side of the room cheered, as Luke stood there shaking Mary’s hand.

“This is Luke Hemmings everyone, please make him feel welcome!”  Mary smiled one last time before leaving the front of the room and walking over to Michael. Luke walked back over to other side of the room and started talking and laughing.

“Hello Michael!” Mary said, talking a seat beside him. Michael smiled slightly. “Now because you are Luke’s roommate I want you to give him a tour of this place,” She said, faking another smile. “Try and make friends with him” Mary said, this time surprisingly genuine. Michael nodded, and Mary called Luke over. Michael could see Mark whisper something in Luke’s ear, and his happy face fell to a frown. He hesitated for a second, before making his way over to Mary and Michael.

"Uh... Hi" Luke said, playing with the ends of his sleeves nervously.

"Hello Luke" Mary said cheerfully, oblivious to Luke's awkwardness. "As Michael is your roommate, he will be giving you a tour around the place, before helping you unpack" She smiled. Luke nodded awkwardly. "Ok, I'll leave you both to it" She smiled one last time, before walking away.

"Well, I guess you should probably follow me" Michael said, standing up and walking out the door, not waiting for Luke to follow. Luke got up hesitently, before following Michael out the door.

"So this is the kitchen," Michael said opening a door. "Nothing much to see in here, we get our food here and eat it in the dining room." He walked across the hallway and opened another door. "And this is the dining room, where we eat our food."

After showing Luke the whole house, Michael only had to show Luke their shared bedroom. He walked across the long hallway to where their room was located and opened the door.

"Well... Here it is." Michael said, before they both walked in. Michael moved a few boxes, before taking a seat on his bed. "Doesn't feel as big now... with two people." He picked up one of his comics and began reading it, waiting for Luke to look around.  It was another old batman one, that he had already read a few hundred times, but he just flicked through waiting for Luke to say something, to avoid awkwardness.

"It's... nice..." Luke said, scuffing his feet awkwardly on the ground. After a few more awkward minutes passed, Luke finally spoke up again. "Look Michael, I don't want things to be awkward with us," Michael looked up from his comic.

"It's fine Luke." Michael replied, placing down his comic.

"Micha-" Luke began.

"I said it's fine." Luke nodded, walking around the room a bit.

"Hey, is that? The playstation 4!?" Luke said excitedly, running over to where it sat. He started examining every inch, looking at all the buttons.

"Yep!' Michael grinned, immediatly forgetting the previous conversation. "Got it for my birthday" He walked over to where Luke was and crouched down beside him. He switched it on and stood back. "Wanna play?" He asked, picking up two controllers. Luke nodded excitedly, catching the controller that Michael threw him. Michael quickly put in "The Last Of Us" before hopping onto his bed, Luke doing the same with his.

The two boys sat there for a few hours, playing on Michael's playstation. They had almost completed the game when they heard a knock at the door. "Luke? You in here?" asked a muffled voice.

"Y-Yeah... Who is it?" He asked, placing the controller on the bed and walking closer to the door.

"It's me Mark, It's dinner time and we're wondering if you want to get dinner with us? Everyone's waiting." Luke looked over at Michael who just motioned to the door and smiled slightly.

"Go on, have fun" He said with a smile. Luke nodded and thanked him, before sorting his quiff in the mirror and heading out the door.

Michael was now left alone in his room, with an almost complete game. Usually this would be his idea of heaven, but after playing with someone else, it suddenly felt very... lonely.

Michael picked back up his controller, and continued playing the game again, solo this time. He finished the game, half an hour later, and Jacob came in with some dinner on a tray.

"Here you go Michael, I thought you might like it in your room." Jacob said, placing the tray on his bed. Michael smiled shyly, and brought the tray up to his lap. "Remember, try and make friends with Luke..." he pleaded, before heading out the door.

Michael ate his dinner while watching someones livestream of a game. He would usually of loved this, but for some reason. He felt lonely.
