Jacob smirked and threw her down onto the hay pile where he was just at few minutes before.

"JACOB! I'm going to tell mom!" She shouted, running out of the barn towards the house.

Jacob quickly took after her and grabbed her by the arm quickly turning her around.

"And I'll tell mom how much of a slacker you are!"

"She'll believe me before you"

"No she won't"

"She will. I'm the favorite child," she sneered.

All of a sudden, right on time a car pulled in the driveway.

Courtney and Jacob took a quick look at each other and took off running towards the house.

Jacob was beating Courtney by a bit, so she took off her shoe throwing it at Jacob.

It caught him in the back, and he stumbled enough to make Courtney catch up.

He threw it back at her when Courtney passed him running inside the house.

Jacob quickly followed.

Before Courtney could even speak, Jacob beat her to it.

"Hi mom! I did so much today and Courtney was such a slacker!"

Courtney quickly elbowed him in the stomach.

"Ouch?!" He glared at her.

"Mom...Jacob threw me off the loft...and it hu-"

Jacob cut off her sentence.

"Yea but I had a reason! Plus I threw her in the hay, so she wouldn't get hurt!"

Their mom sighed she was done dealing with their problems and was tired.

She told them both to go straight to their rooms and clean them.

"I told you mom doesn't love you more," Jacob smirked, elbowing her running up the stairs straight in to his room.

"Ow...I hate you," she mumbled walking up the stairs and went to her room locking the door.

"I heard that!" Jacob chuckled.

It had been 30 minutes since they had been sent to their rooms but it felt like 27 years to Courtney.

She was getting really bored, so she decided to make the best of it and sneak out.

She opened her window and dropped to the ground which wasn't that far of a drop.

She headed to the stables to FaceTime her BFF, Jess.

It had started to rain and some rain was leaking through the stables.

Courtney decided it was best to probably go back to her room when she remembered that their windows automatically lock when they're shut.

She mentally groaned.

Do I chance having Jacob help me? Or do I go through the front door and mom see me? She thought.

She sighed and went to Jacobs window and seen him cleaning his room.

She decided the better choice was probably Jacob.

She knocked on his window.

He looked over slightly surprised but quickly unlocked his window.

"What in the world are you doing? You're drenched!"

"I accidentally locked my window..." she sniffled trying to make him feel bad, so he'd let her in.

"I mean why were you out there? In the weather like this you could've caught pneumonia!"

"I was bored...so can I come in?"

"I guess."

He moved out of the way and helped her get through the window.

"What were you thinking going out in a storm like this?"

"I didn't know it was going to storm!"

"Well did you at least clean your room like mom told us to do?"

"Mom never told me to clean my room. My rooms always clean," She smirked and looked down as she got a text.

"Your rooms never clean, but if you go clean your room, I won't tell mom you were outside."

"Is that considered blackmail?"

"Sure is sis,"he smiled.

"So, if you do all your work tomorrow without me always telling you to get back to work, I won't tell her. But if you slack off, I will tell her.

Then, you won't be able to talk to any of your little friends anymore."

"But Jess needs me! Her boyfriend just broke up with her!"

Jacob rolled his eyes.

"She's 18 how serious can a relationship be at that age? I think she'll be fine."

"Your so uncaring! No wonder why you don't have any friends," she huffed leaving his room towards her room.

Courtney started cleaning her room thinking of a way she could still talk to Jess the next morning without Jacob knowing.

And all of a sudden it hit her.

When she knew Jacob was asleep, she took out a Bobby pin and quietly unlocked his door.

She snuck in his room and headed towards his alarm clock and turned it off.

She smiled.

He wouldn't wake up early, and she could do whatever she wanted for half the morning.
