6 //Date Night

Avery's POV

Friday couldn't come fast enough. I had told Beth about Sammy asking me out and she went crazy.
We are currently in my room deciding what shoes would go with my outfit. Beth had picked me out a dress that is half black and half neon yellow. the top half was black and longed sleeve with lace on the sleeves and a neon skirt that came mid thigh. I never knew I had it but it was really pretty.
" The black pumps go better!", " No the sparkley silver ones do!". That was our current argument. Like obviously the black pumps match better. "You know what since this is YOUR date I'll let you wear what YOU want. Okay?", Beth asked exhausted with our bickering. "Okay.", I was tired from it to. So I put on the dress and pumps and curled my hair to perfection and did some simple makeup. When I was done I stood in the mirror. Beth stood behind me,"you look absolutely gorgeous!", She said. I guess I looked alright but anyways I heard the doorbell ring. Oh God he's here! Beth hurried me down the stairs and I reached the door and opened it. I saw Sammy standing there in a blue button up shirt , kakhi pants and blue vans and he was holding a bouquet of roses. He looked absolutely handsome.
He handed me the flowers and gave me a hug. "You look absolutely stunning Ave.", he whispered in my ear. I couldn't help but blush hard at his kindness. We walked out the door and heard Beth yell," Have her back by midnight and TRY TO KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF WILKINSON"!
God! She's so embarrassing! "Yes ma'am", Sam said laughing. When we got to his car he opened the door for me like a gentleman and closed it after me. He got in the drivers seat. "So where are we going?", I asked looking up to him. "Nope. You'll just have to wait princess.", He said grabbing my hand in his and kissing the top of it.

Eventually we drove up to a cliff overlooking the ocean. " I know it's not top notch fancy but do you like it?", He asked. He had set up a picnic with lights hung in the trees above us. it was absolutely gorgeous. " I love it.... it's perfect.", I said as we sat on the blanket that was laid out.

Afterwards he drove me home and walked me to the door. "Thank you Sammy for the perfect date ever.", I said hugging him. He hugged back and tilted my chin up to look at him. I stared into his eyes and was lost in them and our faces started inching closer to each other. Then our lips met and I felt Sparks and butterflies in my stomach. It happened , I had officially fallen for Sammy Wilkinson.
When we pulled apart I couldn't help but smile. He also had a big grin on his face. " I know it's just the first date but I feel like I've known you forever. Avery Faith Gilinsky will you be my girlfriend?", He asked. "Of course!", I said as I kissed his cheek. I opened the door and walked in. Beth came bolting to me," so tell me what happened!!!", she said pulling me to the couch. "If only you knew.", I said with a grin on my face. I can't believe that IM Sam Wilkinson's girlfriend. Wow.
