AUTHOR POV

"Hey dubs" Chaeyoung said to her best friend.

"Hey chaeng, what are you gonna do for lunch?" They both usually eat lunch together everyday since 9th grade, now in 11th.

"Um I was thinking the roof or the garden maybe?"

"The garden sounds nice, maybe we can scope out some cuties"

"Ha ha very funny unnie, you know i'm not big on those things." Chaeyoung wanted something real when she dated, not because she felt pressured or to fit in, she was never like that.

They arrive at the school's garden. As you would imagine, a pretty scene with picnic tables scattered around a huge fountain in the middle.

"Let's sit over there" Chaeyoung pointed at a seat furthest away from anybody else so that they could have some peace. Usually there's always gossip going around which Chaeyoung wasn't fond of. As they were walking towards their table, someone caught Chaeyoung's eye.

"Myoui"

"Son"

The two now stood in front of one another with piercing eyes and a brave stance. They each represented the heads of good and evil in the school. Always at war, always trying to put the other in their place.

This time chaeyoung wanted to try something different.

 I don't want to pick a fight today Mina i'm not in the mood."

"You think I care Son? Who do you think you are calling me by my first name"

Chaeyoung really wasn't going to fight with her, so she lightly took Mina's wrist and tugged her in through the hallways.

"Where the hell are you taking me you orphan"

That word, Chaeyoung always hated it, she didn't want that to be a part of her life, or label her. She slowly turned around to look at Mina.

"Mina, i'm not gonna fight with you anymore ok, because honestly I don't like it and I know that you are a good person, which is why i'm so confused as to why you're so vicious to the rest of the school except your precious little friend group."

Chaeyoung observed Mina while in High School, so much so that she recognizes that Mina is a sweetheart to those she cares about. She tries to hide it from the public eye but Chaeyoung can somehow see right through her.

"You know nothing about me Son and I would never want you to. We are both very different people ok, I don't associate myself with worthless humans such as yourself, I have standards to keep which you will never meet, that's why I would never care for you or anybody else outside my friend group"

Chaeyoung thought to herself, "she's said worse to me right?" trying to reassure herself that there is some kind of good in Mina.... but maybe she was wrong.

"Cat got your tongue Son?"

"I hope I never see you ever again in my life Mina and I hope that someday you become a better person but as for right now you absolutely disgust me. It's a wonder how anybody can love a cold bitch like you."

Chaeyoung turned on her heels but as she turned she saw a tall foreign figure towering over her.

"What the hell did you just say to my girl Son!" It was Mina's one and only BamBam.

"You better apologize fag or I will beat the shit out of you" Chaeyoung didn't have the energy to stand up to this asshat, even if she did she would be wasting her energy because BamBam was even more disgusting than Mina. Chaeyoung held her head high and walked off but before she could make two steps she felt someone aggressively grab at her backpack hard enough to throw her down.

Chaeyoung was now heated she swiftly got up and struck BamBam right in his groin.

"ARGHHH WHAT THE FUCK SON!" he said in pain as he was kneeling on the ground.

Chaeyoung stooped to his level and looked directly into his eyes.

"Don't ever fucking touch me again if you know what's good for you"

She put her hand on his forehead and pushed him back so hard that his head made a loud bang as it hit the floor.

Mina just stood there amazed at what Chaeyoung told her and what she just did to her boyfriend, although, she thought he deserved it. She knew that Chaeyoung was right, that she was a terrible person, she had no idea that those things could come out of her mouth, especially when Chaeyoung was trying to make peace.

Maybe she could relate to Chaeyoung a little in some ways and maybe even thought of her as a friend if things were different but that's what scared her, getting close with somebody, having deep conversations, she hated it.

As she saw her boyfriend lying on the ground in pain she realised that the relationship was a waste and that they didn't actually love eachother, it was just for the sex. Hell they would both have one night stands with other people if they were mad at eachother.

"Babe help me please, my legs are tingling"

"Sorry but we're done, you didn't have to do that to Chaeyoung, you're a horrible person."

Mina walked in the opposite direction and the only person on her mind was Chaeyoung. She couldn't believe she could say those things to a person without a valid reason for hating each other. She couldn't believe that for a split second Chaeyoung was ready to accept her as a friend. The truth is, she was afraid of someone like that, she was afraid that she might be vulnerable around Chaeyoung. It may just be the overthinking that Mina was doing, but, could that be a possibility?
