*knock knock*

"Mina? It's Dahyun" She announced.

After two minutes there was no response so she tried again.

"I just wanted to know if you were hungry, we ordered some poke bowls, Chaeyoung told us how much you like them." She tried.

But it was like talking to an empty room. Dahyun said her goodbyes and went downstairs to tell Momo how it went, quite disappointing.

Mina on the other hand heard every word that Dahyun said, Mina just couldn't bring herself to open the door to show someone she barely knows the condition that she's in. She still just laid in bed, hungry and exhausted.

Chaeyoung had a few minutes on her hands and decided to roam around her gallery. While she was roaming she received a worrying text message from Dahyun letting her know that Mina is in fact not doing so well. Chaeyoung didn't like the fact that she could do nothing from here. The more she thought about it, she could do nothing at all. She's only now getting to know Mina, so how could she help her, she asked herself.

Chaeyoung stopped at one of her paintings entitled, "Peace in Pandemonium".

She studied it for a while, dwelling on why she painted that piece in the first place. She remembered that when both her and her brother were in the orphanage, Hoonie's childlike innocence would bring her peace in their rollercoaster of a life. Since she's on her feet now, she should be able to return the favour. At least she thought that's what she was doing. Hoonie is still a bit sad, but distracted nonetheless. Distracted but not at peace, every person needs some sort of peace. She vowed to be the peace for not only Hoonie but Mina too. Maybe Mina has Nayeon, but a fresh face and personality does the soul good. Afterall Mina and Chaeyoung are housemates, they both have responsibility to each other. 

She hoped to provide that for Dahyun too, as they have been friends for a long time. They never had any problems or hid anything from each other, which is why they have a great friendship.

"Chaeyoung-nim" Jisoo called out, snapping Chaeyoung out of her thoughts. She walked over to Jisoo, glancing at the window separating the outside world from her sanctum. She noticed a familiar tall figure looking through the window. It couldn't be.

"Is something wrong boss?" Jisoo asked.

"No-"

"Great, we have Hoonie and his agency friends to shoot at this abandoned warehouse in about 10 minutes." Jisoo rambled, noticing that Chaeyoung's eyes were stuck on someone.

"I'll have the guards remove him, and then after you come back from your shoot you are going to tell me everything."

Chaeyoung nodded her head in response and continued on with her day.

5pm

"There you're all caught up" She said, pouring herself another glass.

Jisoo just looked at her, wondering how she's gonna keep up with all this and not explode.

"Oh yeah and I also emailed my mom back asking to meet, so there's that as well." Chaeyoung said carelessly, and with a slur in her voice.

"Are you sure you're in the right headspace to meet her?" Jisoo asked, concerned about Chaeyoung.

"How bad can that be, she just wants to talk about how Hoonie and I are in danger, which I believe is just a ploy to get us to talk to her, so it couldn't hurt right?"

" Would you like me to go with you if she agrees?" She asked, really hoping she would say yes.

"It's fine unnie, i'm a big girl ya know."

Jisoo looked at her watch and noticed that it was almost closing time.

Chaeyoung looked like a bit of a trainwreck to be honest. She ordered some wheatgrass shots and took Chaeyoung's glass away from her.

"Hey I wasn't finished with that!" Chaeyoung complained childishly.

"I know, you're gonna drink some water now until it's time to go home. I'm not letting you go home like that when you have Mina to take care of, and it sounds to me like you're the only person that can get through to her." Jisoo scolded.

Chaeyoung just nodded in response, recognising her responsibility and remembering her vow.
