Author POV

Chaeyoung arrived at her condo with bags of supplies in her hands, all ready to redecorate Mina's room. Of course thoughts were buzzing about her brain right now.

"Why do I recognize that woman and why was she in the car with Bam Bam, why the sudden issue with my birth parents" she thought.

She entered her room, head spinning, looking for something to wear to begin her little project. She pulled out some grey sweats and a black muscle T and pulled her shoulder length hair into a little pony tail, grabbed her supplies and got to work.

6pm

Chaeyoung was mostly finished with her guest's room, however after finishing the last bit of wallpaper she layed on the ground just to relax a little, she just didn't know she would fall asleep. Truthfully, Chaeyoung was exhausted from all the emotions she went through last night, she just needed to mentally rest up.

Lucky for Chaeyoung, her gracious sleep lasted two hours until someone woke her.

"Hey" Mina whisper-screamed. She wanted to let Chaeyoung know she arrived but how can she wake her when she looks so peaceful, yet    dorky. Mina wheeled in her luggage as quietly as possible then creeped out of the room not making a sound.

Before Mina entered her room, she had a pleasant encounter with Dahyun. Mina read her as a polite yet crazy/dorky girl whom she can get along with just fine. While walking down the stairs she saw a raven haired boy in a black hoodie sulking on the far end of the sofa deep into the corner of the living room, wanting to be left alone it seemed. She took a sip of her now warm tall americano. She took a seat at the kitchen island and started to ponder on the previous events. She really thought that Jeongyeon had changed, it's a good thing she didn't let her guard down though, Jeogyeon might've taken advantage of her kindness.

How does she tell Nayeon about this or should she even tell Nayeon. Either way it won't be pretty, she thought.

Suddenly Mina heard loud thumping sounds coming from upstairs. A wild Chaeyoung emerged from the halls scurrying her tiny feet on the hardwood floors sounding almost frantic.

"Crap" Chaeyoung said once she spotted Mina staring up at her trying to contain her giggles. Chaeyoung walked down the stairs while frantically trying to make herself look a little more presentable. For the most part it worked however she still looked really tired.

"Hey Mina when did you get here? I saw your luggage and kinda freaked out." She chuckled

"A few minutes ago actually. You were sound asleep when I came in, I thought you would have still been out cold." She teased.

Chaeyoung blushed in response.

"I'm sorry I couldn't greet you properly though, I'm already a bad hostess." Chaeyoung truly felt bad, she displayed bad manners after all.

"It's fine, don't worry about it. I met Dhayun by the way, she seems really nice." Mina changed the subject so Chaeyoung wouldn't feel bad anymore.

"Oh yeah, she's basically my best friend, I tell her everythingggg that's going on in my life. She's like my rock."

Mina immediately thought of their history then it clicked. Dahyun was the girl who was always near Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung noticed Mina was off in a daze but rather than staring into space, Mina was looking right at her.

"Are you ok?" Mina shook her head successfully returning to reality. Then she realised that she had been staring at Chae with no reasonable explanation. She didn't want to bring up the past again.

"Oh I'm fine, sorry about that." The atmosphere became a bit awkward, so Chae decided they should go do something, like a bonding activity.

"You wanna go somewhere?" Chaeyoung asked while getting a glass of water.

"Sure, where to?" Mina was sure Chae was still a bit tired but she figured it would be fun to go out.

"Well we could go to the mall and maybe look for some things to decorate your room and then maybe a nice dinner after.

"That sounds nice" Mina smiled sweetly at Chaeyoung.

" I'm gonna go shower." She walked away swiftly and in the shower with no time to waste, she would be ready in about 10mins.

Chaeyoung POV

Ahh this is nice. I never thought that Mina and I would bond over what type of mirror she wants in her room at my house, crazy right. At this point our shopping was basically finished and we needed to get something to eat. I don't know about Mina but I haven't eaten since breakfast, I'm starving.

"So where do you wanna eat?" I asked, while packing the items in the trunk of my car.

"Nothing too fancy, maybe a little pizza?" YES. I was craving, luckily i know this cute place nearby.

We drove there and hopped out to meet the lovely ambiance the place gives off, it would be perfect for a date actually. I cringed at the thought and Mina noticed.

"What's wrong? If you don't like this place we can go to another" she said.

"No it's fine, I really like this place actually but I forgot how cute and cheesy it can be '' I scrunched my nose for effect. It seemed to be believable as she nodded and smiled.

We entered and I saw one of my clients Rose, the girl who kissed me in front of Mina.

It wouldn't hurt to say Hi right?

"Hey why don't you go order? I'll grab us a seat." she nodded and went ahead.

"Hey Rose, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw you." It's true, it's almost like she cast a spell on me with that kiss, I completely forgot about Mina who is now shooting daggers at me with her piercing eyes.

"Hey Chaeng" She got up and hugged me, placing a little peck on my cheek.

"You wanna have a seat?" Tempting but i'm a good hostess.

"Sorry but I came with Mina, we can hang out another time if you want."

"Sure, a picnic sounds nice right? It's a date then." That was fast. She said date didn't she.

I looked up at her and I took a glance at Mina. only, she wasn't there.

"Ha it's a date, see you soon." I said hurriedly. Where did Mina go?

I turn around and I find her scrolling through her phone on a table by herself.

Once again I'm a terrible host.

"Hey, sorry I got a little caught up." I sat and tried to get her attention.

"It's ok." She said dryly, barely looking up at her phone. I hadn't realized how sensitive she is, I guess I gotta be more careful.

"So what did you order? I trust your pizza taste buds." I joked I got a small smile in return. She finally put her phone down and started to name everything she ordered.

"I got us a margarita pizza and some iced tea to start. I hope that's ok with you." She said genuinely, I honestly didn't care about what she ordered. I was super hungry, and I trusted her judgement.

...

We ate until our hearts content, cracking a few jokes here and there to keep the atmosphere comfortable. I was having a good time with Mina. While we were eating I couldn't help but think about that night at the bar. We hit it off so well without even seeing each other's faces properly. Imagine if we had never met in high school, things might've been different, we could've been dating. But I don't think that's possible right now, especially since we're just getting used to each other after so long.

I just really want a good friendship to come out of this. We practically barely know each other but there's something about her that makes me want to know more about her.
