"I guess you could call it that," Todd answers for me. He looks at me with a huge grin on his face. I couldn't see myself but I knew I had a grin even bigger than his on my face. I had never had a boyfriend, this was all new territory for me. Oh shit I realized that he has had other girlfriends and was experienced at this and I just had my first kiss two minutes ago. When I finish my thought everyone was sitting staring at me because I was still standing.
"Don't worry it will be fine," Todd's voice washes over me as I stare at my "dad". Boy I hope he's right.
When we got home from our awkward yet amazing lunch it was 2:00 I had nothing to do so I decided to text Todd even though I had just said good bye to him.
Me: hey
Todd: hey beautiful
Me: stop it you're making me blush
Todd: I'm just telling you the truth
Me: well ok you can keep calling me that then
Todd: so are we still going out to frozen yogurt tomorrow? I mean it is Friday tomorrow.
Me: of course we are still going to get frozen yogurt
Todd: I just didn't know after what happened today
Me: nothing will change how I feel about you
Todd: ok I'll talk to you later my mom is calling me
Me: ok bye
I should probably go downstairs and tell my mom that I'm going to get frozen yogurt with Todd tomorrow.
Down stairs my mom is sitting in the living room alone staring at the wall with a blank expression on her face.
"Hey mom. can I talk to you?" Her head flicks around to see me standing at the bottom of the stairs
"Of course sweetie. what is it?"
"I was just wondering if I could get frozen yogurt with Todd tomorrow?"
"Ya sure I love Todd he's such a gentleman and he really likes you."
"Thanks mom and I really like him."
The next day went by so slowly. When the bell finally rang after the last period i ran out to my car and got in I was so excited to call Todd.
I pulled my phone out of my backpack and called Todd, he picked up after the second ring.
"Hey when do u want to meet," he said almost instantly. He sounded almost excited as me. I look at the clock in my car it's 2:20 now.
"How does 3:30 sound," I reply back to Todd's original question
"Perfect I'll pick you up at your house just text me the address."
"Can do. see you at 3:30," I say as I hang up the phone
When I got home I swung open the door screamed hey and ran up stairs. It was now 2:5o.
