Izuku's POV
"I haven't seen you for almost two years Midoriya and all you have to say is a comment on how the restraints are?" Todoroki asks me his face as bland as ever. I was calm. Seeing him hadn't set in yet until he said that. The rage that I didn't know I had exploded.
"You haven't seen me in almost two years and you can't even show a shadow of emotion! You are so fucking ridiculous! You didn't reach out, you let everyone think you were dead."
Todoroki calmly walks over to me. His impassive face was pissing me off more and more. He unlocks the chains around my wrists and takes a step back. I shoot up and look around the room for my knives. I don't see them, figures. Todoroki was standing too far away for me to hit him but I still tried.
"Well, are you going to say anything?" I ask wishing he would yell rather than stay silent.
"Sorry, I assumed that you wouldn't want to talk to an ass like me," He answers, "but if you really do want my response then fine. I didn't know you thought I was dead, I assumed that the base would have told you what happened."
"Which was?" I ask sitting up more.
"Can I sit?" Todoroki asks me motioning to the empty side of the bed.
"Not much I can do about it," I pull my leg up and the chains rattle a little helping me prove my point.
"Good point," Todoroki sits down next to me. "Like I said I thought that UA would have told you. The league has ways of watching UA I don't know what they are. Dabi learned that they were going to kill me and saved me," Todoroki explains.
I open my mouth to say a snarky comment but all that comes out is a choked sob. Todoroki head turns to look at me to see tears running down my face. He reaches out to me but I scoot away from him.
"No," I say my voice so broken. I know he heard it too, "just get out please."
Todoroki looks at me and then stands up. He opens his mouth to say something up quickly closes it again. I wipe away my tears as he walks out of the room without looking back.
The room falls into almost silence, the only sound was an electrical hum. I move around and look at the chains on my ankles. They were strong, definitely no way for me to break them by myself.
The door opens again. I glare at the door thinking that Todoroki had come back instead Toga skips into the room holding a cup of what I hoped was Kool-Aid.
"What do you want Psycho?" I ask running my hand through my hair trying to find the bobby pins I always hid in it.
"Hello, Izu~"
"Don't call me that," I hiss at her.
"Okay fine," She huffs and crosses her arms. "I just thought that you might want some company."
"Because I kicked Todoroki out?" I ask and she nods her head.
"I am surprised he listened to you seeing as this is his room," She informs me. I look around the room my eyes landing on a gaming console.
"He plays video games?" I ask her surprised.
"Yeah, he always has just never told anyone at UA. Too unprofessional. What to play?" She asks.
"Is this your way of bonding?" I question.
"No, it seems you and Todoroki have already done that," She comments as she unlocks my ankle chains.
"Why?"
"Because I am confident that nothing will happen."
I move away from the end of the bed considering my options. I didn't know the layout of this place so the chance of escape is low. Fighting Toga would give me better odds but I would still have nowhere to go and I have no idea how strong she is. The last option would be to play video games with Toga and there was no downside to that.
I stand up and walk over to the console. I grab one of the controls and throw it to Toga. She easily catches it as I grab the second one. I make a mental note that Toga has good reflexes.
"If Todoroki has two controllers who usually plays with him?" I ask sitting back down while Toga turns everything on.
"Dabi," She says with a laugh as she sits next to me.
"Everyone keeps using that name and I have no idea who it is," I say rolling my eyes.
"Burnt boi, purple scars, has an ego the size of America and enough sass to kill you," Toga says making a bunch of silly hand motions.
"I get the picture. So him and Todoroki are close?" I question.
"Yeah, you could say that," She says carefully telling me that she is hiding something.
The game hums signaling that it is all started up. I decided not to say anything else and press start.
Toga and I played a bunch of different video games all through what I assumed was the night. I ended up falling asleep after a long while.
---
"Please get up," Someone begs as they lightly shake me.
I squint as I slowly wake up, "huh?"
"You drool in your sleep," the figure says as I shift onto my back.
"Wha- are you quoting Annab-" I fully open my eyes and see Todoroki. "Oh, it is you."
"Okay okay I get it you hate me," he says crossing his arms. "But if you would please just come with me. I have something to show you."
