Chapter 3|The Swap

Soarin adjusted his tie infront of the mirror. One rule at SkyLight, we can only wear the school uniform, considering the academy is one of the top school in the world.

They either can choose between a long sleeve collar shirt or the short sleeve ones. The boys required to wear long maroon pants while the girls required to wear a skirt in the same colour. They also can wear a blazer or a vest, depending on the weather temperature.

He glanced on the clock. 7.15 a.m.

He then glanced on Thunderlane, who is still sleeping. He slightly shook his head." Dude, wake up," he smacked a pillow to his stomach." Five minutes.." Thunderlane responded.

"Bro you're going to be late,"

"Shut up you're not my mom,"

"...suit yourself then,"

Soarin sit at one of the tables in the Dining Hall." Dammit Soarin we're early. I even can count how many students in this hall with my fingers," Thunderlane grunted. After earning some good morning wash from Soarin, the guy finally up from his bed.

Soarin showed an innocent face." Whatever," he took a bit of his waffle. No pie today. Unfortunately.

The hall began to get crowded by students." Hey, do you sleep well?" One of the seniors greeted them." Yes. After somebody splashed me with a bucket of water," Thunderlane rolled his eyes.

The senior snickered." At least he didn't wake you up with a bucket of ice," he then sat down, facing the both of them." One of us got it as a punishment for playing truant. You don't want that right?"

Soarin glanced on his ID card.

Science Course

"I see you take a science course," He commented." Huh? Yeah. Not as easy as Art Course but I enjoyed it so far,"

In SkyLight, when a person get into the school, they need to choose either Art Course or Science Course. The academy did this to students so they can focused on their career choice.

The Art Course is consisted of the core subjects, English, Math and Science, and the subjects those can be related with art/humanity, such as Accounting, Commerce, and Economics. The career option is not bad either, like a fashion designer, photographer or hotel management.

While the Science Course offered subjects based on logics and formulas, like Biology, Algebra, Psychic and Chemistry. Basically people who chose this wants to be a scientist, biologist, or any other science/math-related occupation.

Sounded like university (or a prison). But yeah, they don't have any other choice.

"Pfft, don't listen to him. Science Course is like, the world most torturing thing," a guy suddenly remarked, making Rapidfire rolled his eyes." Typical Art student," he muttered.

The guy then casually wrapped his arm around Rapidfire's shoulder." My name's Lightning Streak. Nice to meet ya,"

"I'm Soarin, Science Course,"

"Thunderlane, Art Course,"

Lightning Streak snickered." See? Got an Art junior here ya'll," Rapidfire eyed him in annoyance." Oh please, I have so many things to do than arguing with short minded person like you," he shot.

A pair of hands suddenly smacked the seniors, making their heads bumped into each other." Dude what the hell?!" Lightning exclaimed.

Fire Streak shook his head." We're supposed to watch on the juniors, not arguing like an old couple,"

"But he started it first," Rapidfire complained.

"No I wasn't,"

"Yes you were,"

"No. I. Wasn't,"

Fire Streak rolled his eyes." You two might get to the Main Hall now. It's 7.52 a.m. now. I will handle these dumbasses,"

Both Soarin and Thunderlane nodded and left the table." Well, couldn't say anything 'bout that," Thunderlane chuckled.

Soarin scratched his head." I thought I've been here before," he mumbled. His first class is Biology, and he couldn't find the Bio Lab. And the school is fucking big.

He cursed under his breath. The class will be started in exactly five minutes.

"Hey watch out!"

Before he could turn around, somebody crashed into him. He grunted. The girl instantly get up, picking up her books and run away.

"Girls," Soarin shook his head and picked up his things. He looked at the books, who knows if they are covered with dust.

Algebra." This is not my book," Soarin narrowed his eyebrows. His eyes then focused on a square-shaped object on the floor. He grabbed it.

Rainbow Dash immediately took a sit as she reached Algebra class. Luckily the teacher is not here yet. She sighed in relief." What took you so long?" A long pink-haired girl beside her asked.

"I bumped into a person," Dash replied.

The pinkette nodded." At least you got here on time," she smiled. Dash smiled back, as the teacher entered the room.

"Open your textbook and turn to page 5. We'll be discussing about Linear Equation today,"

Dash turned the page, before realizing this isn't the Algebra book. She widened her eyes." Please don't tell me I got a wrong book," she muttered under her breath. She flicked through the pages until she saw a name written on the last page.
