Chapter 7|The Partner

4.00 p.m. teatime
6.00 p.m. night routine

9.00 p.m. campfire activity

Exactly 30 minutes before the night walk. Night walk is a simple activity. The teachers will split you into a group, a pair, or just alone and arrange you in a straight line. There will be a rope long the path. You just need to follow the rope until you find the end of it. Not forgetting, this activity will be held in the forest, at night, obviously.

But of course, the simple thing could be the most dangerous ones. Not often, but students can be missing at the end of it.

Soarin sighed. Regretting for the thousand time. Fortunately, the teachers will split them into a pair. At least he hopes that his partner-to-be is braver than him.

"Okay listen! I will call your name and your partner name only once so pay attention and don't come to me and whine saying you got a bad partner or something else!"

She then pulled out her phone and check out the list of students names and began to call them partners by partners.

"Thunderlane Strike and Flash Sentry!"

"Flash from DC?" Thunderlane asked.

The names are called, again, and again, until the twins name comes out.

"Spitfire Skies and Sunset Shimmer!"

"Soarin Skies and Rainbow Dash!"

"Wait what?!" Soarin exclaimed, earning some snickers from Thunderlane." Dude faith really bring both of you together!" He laughed.

"Bro you're really lucky," Spitfire teased." I gotta tell this to mom. Soarie found his wifey,"

"Shut up,"

He then went to the teacher in charge." If you want to change partner you can go away," she immediately shot." No, just, why do I get a different gender partner?" He asked.

"I don't know dear. Maybe it just a technical problem. But you're okay with it right?"

'Technical problem, huh?'

"Fine..."

"How in the world- urgh," Rainbow Dash groaned." Hey you're not the only one," Soarin rolled his eyes. 10 minutes until the Night Walk. And holy shit the forest even look scarier when it comes to night time.

Surprisingly in partners, they will give you a thin, short rope. You must tie it at your hand, while the other end must be tied up on your partner's hand. How amusing.

"Who made up these kind of rules?"

"People these days,"

The rainbownette groaned and cursed under her breath. She tried to tie the rope herself, but as we all know how in the world she gonna do it with just one hand.

Soarin glanced on her hand." Want help?" He asked." No thanks. I do the diy method," she retorted, still trying.

He chuckled, "here, let me do it for you," he grabbed the rope, and tie it around Dash's wrist. She was speechless, didn't know how to react when the pale blue hand touch her cyan ones.

"There you go. Now c'mon,"

(Wait, did Soarin tied the rope on his wrist himself? Nah we'll ask the author..

"For how long I have to stick with you?" Dash whined.

"It will take at least a lovely one hour,"

"Why..."

A soft sound of snickering made them turned around, just to see a girl with a phone on her hand." Wait until mom and dad see this," Spitfire laughed." I swear I will torture you til the end of my life if you send it," Soarin grumbled.

"Chill bro. Besides, you two look extremely cute together,"

"WE'RE NOT CUTE!" Soarin and Dash said in unison, then the teens look at each other.

"Did we just said that together?"

"Stop,"

"No you stop!"

Dash quickly put her hand on Soarin's mouth." Just stop it,"

"Look? Cute," she chuckled, and ran to her partner.

Soarin glanced on Dash. He then eyed a slight pink tinge on her cheeks.' Is she, blushing?'

He cleared his throat." Umm, sorry about that. My sister can be a little bit- well a lot annoying,"

"I'm not surprised. You're annoying too ya know,"

"Ouch,"

"Okay listen students! We will begin our night walk at the small barn near the forest as the starting line. Please remain in the path and hold the rope until you find the end, understand?"

They replied with a nod, slightly feel a shot of nervousness and scare through their veins. The groups walk to the starter, waiting for the teachers to give a green light .

"Ladies first," Soarin chuckled.

The rainbownette just rolled her eyes." Seriously? Don't tell me that you're afraid, of that," Dash asked, pointing at the forest.

"No I'm not. I just afraid what's in it,"

Dash sighed." Suit yourself then,"

The whistle eventually blown, releasing groups one by one. Soarin and Dash hold the rope tight." Ready?"

"I guess,"

"Let's go!" Dash eagerly walks in, pulling Soarin with her.
