Wow. Just...wow.
Finishing Paper Cranes is both sad and satisfying. I have worked so hard to bring this fiction to life and hope that many, many more people are able to enjoy it. When I first downloaded Wattpad to enjoy others' BTS fanfictions, I never expected to be writing one of my own a few months later.
But inspiration comes in the strangest ways. Like Tae, (in this fiction), I am a wedding photographer. This past summer I worked a wedding where the entire party got wasted and the DJ attempted to take my camera battery so he'd "have an excuse to call me." At some point I stepped outside to get some fresh air and wandered into an empty barn. The barn ceiling was covered in beautiful, white, paper cranes. I remember looking up what that meant and thinking: "Damn, this would make a good fanfiction."

Bam. That's how Paper Cranes came to life. Honestly, I pulled the majority of the characters' personalities and plot from my own life. I do believe that there is someone out there for everyone, and you ALL are deserving and worthy of love.

Now, I want to give a special shout out to a couple people.
First of all, Maysam, BTSforlifeu2 My ARMY bestie, internet soulmate, and crack-headed unloyal hoe. We met on another fanfiction long before I even knew I was going to be writing Paper Cranes, and even though we're worlds apart we somehow still share a single braincell. Not only did she constantly encourage, uplift, and brainstorm ideas with me, but she also edited every single chapter. Oh, and the only reason there was any smut at all was because of her, so you can either thank her or smack her for that! 🤪
Secondly, I have to thank my cousin, Bry. I'm probably going to get smacked for mentioning her, but she's my only IRL I can share my secret love of fanfictions with. If you ever laughed at something Yoongi said in my fiction, it was most likely a direct, unrelated quote from her. She literally only has a Wattpad account to check-up on me, but it's okay cuz she keeps my secret and is able to look me in the eye with no judgement, (for the most part😉)! Thanks, binch.
And of course, thank you to all my active readers!! Thank you for loving on my very first fanfiction, and if we're in a weird ass group chat together like *cough* The Dot Gang *cough* thank you for putting up with all my fanfiction babble.
