Part 10

Jug's pov:

I woke up feeling super hot, When I looked down at my shirt it was drenched in sweat. "What the-" I murmur as I look down at Betty. I quickly felt her forehead and she was burning hot. "Dad!" I call. My dad rushes in. "Is everything alright!?". "I thinks she is sick" I sigh. He feels Betty's forehead and sighs. "Jug, Get out of the bed, I don't need you sick too". "What, I'm not leaving her well she is unwell". "What's going on?" Betty groans as she moves around while rubbing her eyes. "Try not to move too quickly, baby" I murmur as I stroke her hair. "Shit!" She shouts as she covers her mouth and runs into the bathroom. "I'll go get a bucket for her, You, Out" My dad points at me and then leaves. "But-". "Out!". "Juggie" I hear a slight voice I say. I go into the bathroom and sit next to Betty. "I-i'm sorry". "Don't be sorry, Baby" I say as I move her into my lap. "Jughead, I do not need two sick kids" My dad snaps. "I help Betty up and then stand up myself. "Go get ready for school" Betty murmurs as I kiss her forehead. "Not before I tuck you in" I say as I lift her up. "Jughead" My dad warns. I lie her on the bed and pull the covers up to her chin. "I'm really cold, Juggie". "I'll go grab blankets, You, Get ready" My dad says. I kiss Betty's forehead once more and then grab some clothes from my drawer. I quickly get dressed and then come out to see Betty wrapped up in dozens of blankets. "Awe, My poor, Baby". I lie next to her as she smiles slightly. "I hate being sick" She whispers. "Awe, Baby". "I wish you were staying with me" She murmurs. I kiss her cheek and slip one of my hands under the covers to grip her hand. "Jughead, Breakfast!". "I'm assuming you aren't hungry" I smirk. She shakes her head while giggling. I jump off the bed and go downstairs. "I'm getting a doctor over at 2 today" My dad says as I sit at the table. "What's going on?" Veronica asks as she picks her backpack up. "Betty's sick" I say. "Ah, that sucks" She says. I nod and take a bite from a piece of toast. "Text me if anything happens" I say to my dad and then quickly run upstairs. "Baby, I'm going to school, But I'll see you later". "Bye" She murmurs. I kiss her forehead and then leave for school. 

(End of lunch) - 1:30 pm 

"I'm worried about her, She or dad isn't texting me back" I sigh as Veronica and I walked down the hall. "Jug, If there was something horribly wrong, Dad would have rung by now" She reassures me. I nod with a slight smile. "Now, Math time" She says as she pulls me into the classroom. "Sup, Jones!" A few serpents yell. "Where have you been all day?" Sweetpea asks as V and I sit next to him. "You will never guess" V chuckles. "In the library". "The library!?" Fangs yells. "Shut up" I say as I pull out a pencil. "Settle down, Class, Books out, Phones away!". 

(Halfway through class)- 2 pm

"My phones keeps going off" I murmur to V as the teacher was writing on the board. She looks at me with a worried expression and then signals to my pocket. I pull my phone out to see 30 texts from dad and 18 missed calls. "Fuck" I whisper as I show V. She holds up the serpent sign and then number 4 signalling to distract the teacher. "Hey, Miss, You suck at teaching!" Reggie yells. The teacher goes off her shit at him. I click on the message bar. 

Dad- Jughead, Betty won't stop crying, Come home now!

Dad- JUGHEAD, GET HERE NOW!!

Dad- JUGHEAD I NEED YOU HOME NOW!!

Dad- I AM WORRIED JUG GET HOME 

Dad- Walk straight out of that classroom and run home

I grab my bag and run out of the classroom while V calls my name. I run out of the school and sprint down the path. Once I got home I bashed the door open and thudded up the stairs. "Thank god, Jug" My dad breathes out. The doctor was standing there looking confused as ever while my dad was trying to calm down Betty who was sitting against the wall on my bed staying on the fairest side. "Juggie!" She cries louder as she sees me. I climb onto the bed and pull her into my lap. "I'm scared!" She sobs. "Dad, What happened?" I ask as Betty straddles my lap and continues crying her eyes out. "The doctor checked her temperature, Gave her a pill and she threw it up, So he gave her some liquid medicine and she threw that up too, So.... He grabbed out an injection and said it was the only way, Thats when she broke down". "Betty, Do you not like needles, Baby" I whisper in her ear. "I don't want to be numb!" She cries. I look up at dad with a confused expression. "Numb?" I mouth to the doctor. "Its just an injection that will help her get over her fever" The doctor says. "Can you give us some space?" I ask nicely. My dad and him both nod and leave the room. "Can you explain to me by what you meant by numb?" I whisper to her. "M-my d-dad-" She stutters. "Take your time" I say softly. "He used to inject me with something that made my body go numb if I wasn't doing what he wanted when he used to um r-rape me" She cries. "anaesthetic" I murmur to myself. "Baby, I'm so sorry, But I'm right here, He will not inject you with something bad, It will help you". "No, I refuse" She shakes her head. "We will have to bring you to the hospital, Betty, Would you rather have it done here, Or at the hospital while being forced?". "Neither" She shakes. "Jug, Dr Martin has other patients" My dad peeps in. I signal for him to come in. "Come lie down, Baby" I say as I lie her down. I turn her away from the doctor and my dad and hold her still by wrapping my arms around her tightly. "Go" I mouth. Dr Martin comes closer and starts to wipe her arm. "No!" She screams as she struggles. "Baby, Don't move" I say as I try to keep her still. He inserts the needle into her arm making her flinch and sob even more. "All done, If her progress doesn't get any better or she gets worse, Just phone me" He says. 

After 10 minuets of her continuous crying she stops. "I'm not numb" She whispers as she pulls out of my embrace. "Do you really think I would do that to you?" I chuckle. She wipes her eyes with a slight smile. "Thank you, Juggie" She says as she jumps on top of me. I hug her back tightly and kiss her temple. "I will never and I mean ever, Let anyone hurt you ever again"...
