Element (Kirishima Eijiou)

Part 4

My eyes open and I glance around the room. I was quick to realize that I was in the infirmary room that Kirishima brought me to earlier. It was semi dark with the small light bulb above us on signalling that it was later in the day. I let out a sigh as I sit up, rubbing my eyes. I then hear a soft snore causing me to freeze in place. I turn my head towards the noise to find Kirishima in the chair, his head tilted back and to the side as he was slouched a lot so that his head could rest on the back of the chair.

I frown slightly to see that he has been here, waiting for me to wake up after all this time. I look away from him and down at my hands only for me to freeze. The bandages came loose while I was asleep, slipping off of my arms to show the many bruises, needle marks and knife cuts that littered them. My body starts shaking as tears fell from my eyes, quiet whimpers coming from my mouth.

"Kogane?" I hear him whisper causing me to glance over at him again, away from the scars. I slightly lift my arms up, hoping he would get the hint to wrap them. He looks at them, his eyes widening for a second before he reaches out and wraps them firmly again. When he was done he pulls me in for a hug that I was grateful for.

"Hey you're free, you don't have to worry about them I promise, I'll protect you myself if I have to," he softly says causing me to relax as the tears slowly dry up. I didn't move from his grasp as it felt warm and comforting. Soon the door bursts open, startling me even more so I hid even farther into his chest.

"Mina will you calm down," Kirishima states, rubbing my hair back.

"Sorry, I was just so excited to hear that she was awake," I hear her exclaim as I slowly pull away from Kirishima, looking over at the people who entered. Mina, Kaminari, Sero, and Uraraka were standing there with a worried look on their faces. I give them a small smile, unconsciously holding onto Kirishimas arm. That's when Mina bowed down.

"I'm so sorry for earlier, I didn't mean to pressure you or make you overwhelmed," she states in a serious tone causing me to frown.

"I-it's alright, you were just excited and curious," I wave my right hand in the air. She looks up with a grin on her face, her eyes looking downwards a bit causing me to follow her gaze to find that my hand was still clutching Kirishimas arm. With a red face I let go of him, whispering an apology before turning back to the group to see them smirking at us.

"Anyways, we came to walk you back to the dorm cause I bet you're exhausted and want to sleep," Kaminari states causing me to nod my head in agreement. I take the blanket off and stand up, following after them as Kirishima hands me my bag that was leaning against his chair next to his. I thank him as I put it on my back, walking behind the others out of the room.

When we walk out of the building I was hit with a feeling of warmth as the setting sun shines on us. I blink before I stare in the direction of the sun, in awe from the sight. It's been a while since I've seen one of those before, having fallen asleep extremely early the last few nights. I turn back to the others and hurry up next to them with a smile on my face.

They were all talking about doing something tomorrow, something along the lines of playing games at an arcade or staying in to play some of their own video games confusing me. I mean yeah, I've heard of them before but I don't remember what they were.

"You want to come play video games with us in the common room with us tomorrow?" Mina asks, everyone looking in my general direction causing my face to go red.

"W-what is that?" I whisper, looking down at the ground in shame.

"It's these games that we can play on our TV rather than board games and such," Kirishima explains causing me to nod my head.

We walk into the building to find that most of the other classmates were in the common area, all of them standing up when they notice me walking in.

"You're okay!" they all yell causing me to flinch back from the loudness of the yell causing them all to apologize. I smile slightly before they all motion for me to walk to the dining room to see that they made a full on meal for all of us. I ended up sitting at the very end since they thought it would be best for me since I wasn't too crowded. I was then near Kirishima and Mina on either side of me, the rest of the class minus Bakugou and Mineta.

I love the food that I was currently eating. They made pancakes and bacon with some whip cream and strawberries to add to it. It was really good, but from my small appetite from barely eating the last five years only allowed me to eat half a pancake and some bacon. I felt a little sick afterwards, but I don't care.

When we finish eating a group stayed back, saying that they'll do the dishes since they didn't help do any of the cooking. They didn't allow me to help though so I head up the stairs to my room, tired from today's events.
