Element (Kirishima Eijiou)

Part 5

After weeks of going to school and training with our quirks it was now time for us to go to the USJ to do some rescue training, which I was excited for. I have warmed up to most of the classmates, mainly Kirishima, Mina, Kaminari and Sero. I don't stutter around them anymore and don't freak out over every little thing anymore though I still have my moments and nightmares.

"I'm so excited!" I exclaim in excitement, hopping up and down with Mina, looking over at the three boys who were grinning as well.

"Same, I've been excited to do rescue since I got into UA!" Kirishima yells back with just as much excitement before a whistle is heard. We all turns toward where the noise came from, our eyes landing on our class president, Iida.

"Get on the bus in an orderly fashion," he states causing me to deadpan. He was in a weird robot outfit for his uniform. I follow after everyone, feeling somewhat confident in my costume I was wearing. Everyone was wearing their hero costumes and mine was a tight black body suit with zipper that goes down to my waist in the front, a belt with pouches around them. I had fire proof and water proof gloves on, well, everything was water and fire proof to help with my quirk. I then had a pair of combat boots on.

I get on the bus, trying to find a seat to sit on near a friend and I end up sitting near the front next to Kirishima while I was at the end so I was in-between him and Bakugou. It wasn't the best idea since his explosions still scare me, but it's better than sitting away from friends. Since it was one of the seats that looks across the aisle at the other side I had to turn and lean against the wall separating me and the seats that go the normal way so that I could watch out the window.

That was one of the things that calmed me down when I was in a cramped area like a vehicle is to look out the window. It also was pretty to look at since once we were out of the city we were passing by trees until we got to the USJ. I felt a weird feeling in my stomach, but I ignored it as I followed my classmates inside with a giant grin on my face.

No. 13 appeared in front of us, waving at the students before making eye contact with me. I wave back with a bright smile. She was one of the ones there to help when I got rescued though she was a rescue hero. She starts explaining to us what we'll be doing while we were here. Halfway through her speech I catch movement behind her, so I tilt to the side in order to see better. I could feel my body immediately start shaking in fear as my hand reaches out and grabs the closest persons arm, which happens to be Kirishima, as the villains walk out of the purple portal.

"THOSE ARE REAL VILLAINS, NOT A SIMULATION!" Aizawa yells as he starts running towards them.

"Get to the door!" No. 13 tells us and we all start running in that direction, my hand never leaving Kirishimas since he moved my hand so it was in his to make it easier. I could feel my heart pounding in my ears, my eyes wide in terror. We were almost to the doors when the portal guy appeared, surrounding us.

"K-kiri," I whisper, my voice barely audible to even myself but he managed to hear me somehow as he looks over at me, eyes locking.

"Hey it's okay, don't let go of my hand all right," he states and I nod my head, taking a deep breath as we turn towards the fight, the portal guy ripping the back of No.13s back casing a gasp to escape from my mouth. That's when Bakugou attacks him, yelling his infamous line of "die" which he ends up missing him since he was mist. He did figure out his weakness though when he tried going for the metal spine we saw. That was when he was consumed by purple before it slowly started enveloping us all. I tighten my grip on Kirishimas hand as the purple circle got closer till all I saw was purple as I felt a falling sensation fill me, but I felt calm from the familiar hand still holding onto mine.

Suddenly we land on the ground, hard, the air in my lungs being taken out of me. I let out a groan as I push myself up with my hand, taking a deep breath.

"You okay?" I hear Kirishima ask causing me to nod only for there to be a loud explosion with some yelling behind us. We both turn to find Bakugou fighting some of the villains, causing the both of us to quickly stand up so we can fight. I was scared to let go of his hand, but I knew that if I didn't he wouldn't be able to fight his best since his combat is hand to hand while mine is a mix of both. When a group of villains attack us both I release my grip on his hand only for him to tighten it as he punched one of the villains as another came up besides him. I was quick to act and shifted my weight, turning my foot causing the ground underneath the villain to shoot upwards, sending him flying.

We continue to go in circles, sending punches, kicks, fireballs, moving them around with earth and pushing them away with air. Soon the three of us were surrounded by a group of villains, all of them knocked out on the ground. I take a deep breath, leaning against the wall behind us.

"Come on we need to get to the plaza," Bakugou states causing a quiet groan to escape my mouth, but we all run towards the plaza. I didn't want to go that way because that's where all the villains that had me for the last five years were.

We get to the plaza to see a terrifying sight. A giant thing had All Might halfway into a portal, blood seeping from a spot in his chest and mouth. Seconds later a spike of ice was sent in that direction causing the thing to let go of All Might.

"There you are," a voice states, almost in my ear causing me to spin around with a fire fist only for a hand to grab it. He wasn't affected by the fire emanating from my arm as his hand was covered in blue flames. I could feel my body start trembling as he smirks at me.

"Don't touch her!" Kirishima growls, punching the guy in the face making him to let go of me. I take a step back only for me being pulled in another direction by the red-head. We were heading in the direction of the stairs, but we got interrupted when someone slams into Kirishima, ripping him from my grasp.

"KIRISHIMA!" I scream, my hand outstretched still in the direction he was hit. His body hitting the wall causing a cloud of dust to cover him. I look over at the person that punched him to find that it was one of the random guys that weren't originally in the group. I growl as my eyes narrow at him, a soft blue glow coming from me.

"Don't yoU DARE TOUCH HIM!" I growl at the man, his face going from confident to fearful in seconds as the wind starts rushing wildly around us, my body starting to float into the air. Soon all I could see in was the color blue, objects blurring together as my body seems to move on it's own. I take deep breathes to try to calm down, and soon I hear a voice speak up out of all the wind rushing by my ears.

"KOGANE, CALM DOWN IT'S ALRIGHT. THEY AREN'T HERE TO HURT YOU ANYMORE!" his yells piercing my ears. I blink a few times before I could finally see what was happening, only to see that I was high in the air. I could feel my body start rushing through the air causing a scream to rip out of my mouth until someone caught me mid fall.

When I was set down, my body was still trembling. My hand automatically reaching out, for what I'm not too sure. My mouth was moving, as if it was saying something that I couldn't really comprehend until a familiar red entered my vision. He grabs my outstretched hand and pulls me into him, hugging me close.

I couldn't stop shaking, tears flowing down my face causing me to wince in pain from the small cuts I have on them. I didn't know what happened, how I got up there and after that. All I know is that I could have died, could have been captured again, and more importantly, my friends could have been injured or killed.

"A-are you okay, I-I saw you get hit a-and," I trail off, pulling myself away from his grasp, but kept a grip on his arm. He looks okay besides a few scratches here and there, his face full of worry.

"I activated my quirk in time," he explains causing me to sigh in relief. I slump against him, tired mentally and physically.

"What happened? After you got hit all I saw was shades of blue all blurred together," I question, my eyes closing.

"I'll explain later but for now just rest you are probably very tired," he states, lifting me up. I make a humming sound as he starts walking in a direction that I can only guess is the doorway. Trusting in him a let myself slip into darkness as my body needed some rest.
