Today Richie's POV Holy shit, today is my birthday! I quickly scrambled to get to the top of the covers and search for the mark on my wrist. What the fuck? I mean, it's beautiful but, why a flower? My mark has the initials E.K. and has a flower with it. I'm guessing she likes flowers? But what have flowers got to do with me? I get up, excited about today, I'm finally 16. I put on my usual outfit, grab a piece of toast and head out the door, my parents don't give a fuck about me, they are probably passed out drunk in the couch.
On my way to school I think about all the things I could do today, tomorrow, maybe even next week. We are coming up to Halloween soon and I'm excited, Halloween is when you can be anything you want and not be judged for it. I wonder what I should be? A tree? Too basic. A watermelon? Maybe. "RICHIE!" I hear from behind me, I see Grace running towards me quickly and Ruby next to her, running too.
"Uh, hey?" I say, tilting my head to the side slightly. Grace and Ruby stop running and stand next to me. Me, Grace then Ruby.
"Sooooooo, what did you get today birthday boy?" She asks with a smirk on her face.
"Oh fuck off with that crap, what does your soulmate mark look like?" Ruby says, getting straight to the point.
"Um... well, the initials are E.K and my symbol is a flower?" I question myself.
"What type of flower?" They ask at the same time.
"A double rose" I reply.

"How the fuck do you know that it's a double? I didn't even know that, and I'm a girl" Grace says, placing a hand on her chest.
"I actually have no idea..." I said, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Anyway, what are you lot doing later?" Ruby asks as we enter the school doors.
"Hopefully, with my soulmate. I bet we are gonna have the best future together. It will be full of laughs, full of hugs and kisses and-" I hesitated.
"And what?" Grace says.
"And your mom!" I say, holding my hand in the air for a high five but no one returns it to me so I just slowly, but casually, put it back down.
"What do you all have?" Grace asks, not use to our schedule as she was new to the losers.
"We should all have chemistry right now" Ruby said, walking off to her locker.
"YOU KNOW MY LOCKER IS NEXT TO YOURS RIGHT?" Grace yells at her.
"Yeah.... I totally knew that" she said turning around walking back to Grace.
"Should we all hang out later? Just girls though? Me, you, Izzy and Bev" Ruby asks.
