You Could Know

As the dawn sneaks upon me with fresh breeze in the air
Death sneaks upon us in most horribly mysterious ways.
With such day that passes, one life crashes,
One soul wonders, then turns to ashes.
May it be good enough, may it even be great
No one has returned when once sent to the grave.
And in grey we stumble, in the black we follow
In white we swallow, lives ours, whole and hollow.
Wishes that we had, wishes that we dream
Somehow somewhere, they still believe,
The star upon you wished, the star that bursts within
No one could replace, one could only sense
The distance that's growing with every breath you take
The shadow overflowing , your mind on a warm summer day
You could know, because you have been there,
You and me, still sometimes are in the exact same place.
Where no one is alive, but yet we all surely die
No one dreams, but we're severely disappointed in the skies.
So won't you take my hand, with me you shall go,
Keep your steps behind mine, then you could know.
