Aiko woke up early and stretched her arms above her head. She got up, grabbing and sharpened her multi-purpose tool knife and wooden knives she had carved herself a few months ago. The shadow-man would come and pick her up today. After throwing her knives at a target she had made on her wall and dislodging them from the center (A/N: yes, a perfect bulls-eye or however the heck you write that). She grabbed a wooden cup and used her quirk to fill it with hot water from a hot spring a few miles away. She grabbed a small wood container she had made and poured it's contents into the hot water. The container had manzanita tree bark in it which could be used to make tea, which is what she was doing. Aiko sat on the floor and sipped her tea, thinking. Her father had split-personality disorder and PTSD from a particularly disastrous villain encounter. Was the split-personality a part of his demon quirk? His extra half had been incredibly sadistic and prone to violence, to the point that he had to chain himself up in order to prevent himself from attacking the people around him. For his PTSD he had flashbacks that were triggered often.
Aiko's thoughts were interrupted abruptly when the shadows around her started to move. She quickly stood up tossing her finished tea cup to some corner of the room and grabbed her knives, and activated her quirk, her eyes glowing violently. The shadows gathered under her feet and pulled her inside, taking her knives and tossing them away. Aiko blacked out, oddly feeling no pain. When she opened her eyes, she was in a new place. She bolted upright and activated her power trying to sense the surrounding bodies of water. Thankfully, her small pond was only about five miles away. She wasn't to far away from "home." Aiko looked around. She was in an old warehouse. There were three men dressed in black in front of her wearing white masks. They were surrounded by stacks upon stacks of cages occupied by children and animals. It was that moment that she realized that she was also in a cage. Anger and disgust with herself for getting captured and with her surroundings started to boil up inside her, but she stopped herself, pushing the emotion away from her mind. Emotion would get in the way of survival here. One man spoke up in a chillingly familiar voice.
"Nice to see you again, little lady," he chuckled as he and the others removed their masks, "It seems that you've remembered me. I suppose I must introduce myself and my comrades. We are the Kuroryu, the Black Dragon. I am Kuro Kage, the Black Shadow. This is Kuro Samurai, the Black Warrior, and Kuro Hana, the Black Blossom. Our friend Kurogiri, or Black Wing couldn't be here today, unfortunately."
Aiko realized that the last man was in fact, not a man, but a woman with long, jet-black hair and piercing violet eyes.
"We've brought you here because we want you to serve us. We also understand that you must hate us for killing your mother and that you don't want to. So, we offer you a choice: join us, or kill every last prisoner here."
Aiko looked up at the man in shock. Kill every prisoner? She knew that she couldn't do it, but she also knew that she could not join them. They unlocked her cage and a cage across from her. It was a cute, small shiba inu puppy. It had white fur with icy blue eyes that matched her own. Aiko looked even closer at the dog and gasped, noticing the unnatural way that water droplets grouped together around the dog. The small dog had a quirk that appeared to control water! Animals with quirks were exceedingly rare and were much too valuable to even consider killing. Aiko looked at the sweet-looking puppy and at the Kuroryu. They looked smug, certain that she would not kill the animal, that she would join them. Her anger exploded, and this time she unable to stop her emotionless demeanor from breaking. Water started swirling around her, encasing her in what appeared to be a liquid cocoon, lifting her into the air. Her iris' turned bright, glowing red and her sclera turned black. Large, black horns grew on her head. Her canine teeth grew and sharpened, creating fangs. Her hair turned white and grew to the back of her knees. Her fingernails lengthened and sharpened into points. And she grew wings. Large, majestic, black wings sprouted from her back as she quickly removed her jacket to it wouldn't get destroyed. She had become a demon. The water cocoon burst away, and Aiko looked at the adults dressed in black in front of her. They stared at the five year old in surprise. She had turned into a demon that would surely kill if provoked. She wasn't little Aiko Tatsuryu any more. She was a feral demon. The demon smiled widely for the first time in years. It wasn't a smile of light and joy. The demon was ecstatic to have someone to kill. "Aiko," still in the air, reached out and water engulfed the Kuroryu, except for Kuro Hana, who disappeared in a puff of black flower petals before she could be caught. She tightened her fist and the water crushed the men inside, mixing the water with blood. She gasped suddenly, her eyes flickering back to normal and the rest of her demonic traits disappeared. She fell to the floor, groaning with pain.
"No," she told herself, "I refuse to black out again. No emotions. No weakness."
She managed to stay conscious and stood up, looking at the cages. Inside, the animals and children looked in fear at the little girl in front of them.
"I'm not going to hurt you guys," she told them, "I'm here to get you out. After that you can either stay with me or try and find your families. Sound good?"
The kids and some of the animals nodded, still looking apprehensive. Aiko's eyes glowed blue as she used her quirk to destroy the locks on the cages.
"Do any of you know if there was any money stored here? If I'm to take care of any of you and myself as well, I need to have fundings," Aiko asked the kids.
One of the few kids who didn't seem afraid of all came forward and spoke up, "They kept all the money in the office back there. I know they have a lot. I've been here for a while, mostly being forced to clean up the place. Your choice of words makes you sound like you are older than you are, but most of us are older than you. Who are you? What are you? Was that your quirk?"
Aiko sighed, not knowing the proper answer to all of his questions, "Thank you for the location of the money. My name is Aiko Tatsuryu. As far as I know, I'm human, thank you. And yes, I think it was my quirk. I've never known of the demonic half until today. My mannerism is probably a result of the fact that I've spent the past year alone, focusing on improving myself both physically and mentally."
"You're kinda weird, but I like you, Tatsuryu. I can just feel the potential," the preteen boy grinned, "I was called Touya Todoroki, but I go by Dabi now."
Aiko looked at him properly for the first time and noticed his obviously dyed hair, burn scars, and piercings. Well, obvious to her. She could sense the liquid dye that had been placed in his hair recently.
"I doubt that many of you actually want to come with me, so I'll take you to a park not to far from her where you all can pair up and find your way home," Aiko said, addressing the crowd of animals and children, "We'll talk more when we get there."
