Amelia wasn't all that fond of fighting, the only reason she had gone was to see Isaiah and now she had found herself sat in between him and Finn being interrogated by her older brother, "Alright, what happened?" Tommy questioned, she felt like she was still in school being scolded by a teacher.
"It was a fair fight" Finn lied, attempting to stay loyal to his oldest brother.
"Yeah, Arthur just caught him with a gooden" Isaiah backed him up.
Tommy looked towards Amelia who remained silent and then back to the boys, "I saw the body, don't lie to me, what fucking happened?"
"I'm not family" Isaiah refused, "I'm saying nothing"
Tommy kept his eyes set on Amelia letting her know it was her turn to talk, "its like he wasn't there in the head, he can't even hear stop or his own name" Amelia explained, still shaken from seeing Arthur viciously kill a boy that looked only her age.
Thomas nodded, "Alright, listen to me thats three fucking stories" He stopped pointing towards Finn and Amelia, "Your brother killed a boy there were witnesses, there will be questions get your story straight, now fuck off" The trio stood up before scurrying out of the room.
Amelia knew what her brothers did, and she knew what the Peaky Blinders were. She wasn't like the rest of her family, she was still good, they had kept her that way. Amelia had never even attended a family meeting because her brothers and Polly wanted to keep her away from all of that, so seeing what she saw that day, it came as an unwelcomed shock, "Are you alright, Lia?" Isaiah questioned as they exited the betting shop together.
"Yeah" She reassured, "I've just never seen Arthur like that before" What really terrified her was the thought of Isaiah becoming like that. She wanted him to stay young, "You love it don't you, being a gangster?"
He hummed in agreement, "Yeah, I do" Her heart stung, he had said it with more certainly then he ever did when he said he loved her.
She didn't want a life like her family, she wanted freedom. Amelia wanted to feel nothing for Isaiah, "I wish I could make you go away"
