Alisha's POV
I stormed out of the cafeteria with long quick strides. How dare he talk to me like that? I didn't even know whether I was to cry or not. So I laughed. Yes, I laughed but it was a very weak one.

" Lis! Wait up" I heard Jeannie call out for me and I stopped.

"I'm sorry for what happened back there but you really need to talk to him. You guys seriously need to sort out your shit"

"I know. It's just not the right time. I'll talk to him when I want to...as for now, he should keep his distance" I said going for my next class. Jeannie let out a defeated sigh and went the opposite way. I needed a break.

After school, I walked to the the garage without Jeannie. I need some time alone.

"Don't forget okay?" Chloe said to Adrian not too far away from where I was.

"I won't. I have to go now, bye babe" he kissed her and left. I felt a pang in my chest. I felt betrayed, hurt and jealous. I know I shouldn't be but I couldn't help it. Chloe was just the perfect girl for him but I couldn't stop wishing that I was the one he loved.

"What are you looking at?" Ugh! Just the last person I wanted to see.

"Bryan what do you want"

"You" I almost snapped my neck with the speed and force I used to face him.

"God. I was just Kidding" he clutched his stomach, laughing his stupid ass off.

"Ha ha, very funny. Now tell me, what do you want?"

"Uhmm" he cleared his throat before he spoke again "Do you want to grab an ice cream?" I could tell he was nervous by the way he was rubbing the back of his neck.

I snorted. "Are you by any chance asking he out on a date?"

"I wouldn't call it a date but if that's what you want to call it, then yeah...it's a date"

"I'm not interested" I replied and started walking home. He stiffened and then started walking behind me.

"Okay. What about Macdonald's or I can take you to a fancy restaurant if you want" he said hurriedly.

"I'm still not interested Woods. Just give up. I'm not into you"

"I know but we can try. Just give me a chance"

"How did you even go from hating me to asking me out all of a sudden!" I yelled at him. He stopped walking and held my shoulders.

"I never hated you Alisha. What even gave you that impression"

"You gave off that vibe"

"I know I said I was going to deal with you after you pulled that little stunt in the cafeteria. I never meant it. If anything, it even made me find you interesting"

"Interesting?" I scoffed. "I'm not some project Bryan. Get out of my way." His facial expression hardened.

"Fine" Then he left.

I walked home and found out that Adrian had left. I made myself a sandwich and grabbed a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from the fridge to eat. My phone beeped notifying me of a new message.

Rian: we need to talk.

Then I replied

Come over

Rian: on my way😁

I smiled to myself and flipped through channels while I waited for him. Few minutes later, he knocked on the front door.

"Hi" he said when I opened the door. I nodded at let him in.

"Lis, I'm really sorry for snapping at you. I wasn't thinking straight." I kept quiet thinking of what to say to him.

"Say something please" he pleaded looking at me in the eye. I sighed and pulled him towards the couch to sit with me.

"It's okay, I understand now. It's just that I was caught off guard. I never expected you to snap at me." I said holding his hands in mine. He smiled at me and pulled me in for a hug.

"I love you so much" My heartbeat increased immediately after those words left his mouth. "You're the best best friend anyone could have" then, it shattered.

'haa. You really think he'd love you? He has a girlfriend' my subconscious laughed at me.

I pulled back and gave me a small smile.

"Ice cream?" I asked pushing my ice cream towards him.

"Of course" he smiled back at me and we continued watching the movie and another and another till we were tired.

"I have to start going. It's almost past six" he said looking at his wrist watch.

" I'll see you tomorrow then" he nodded and left the house.

My phone buzzed

Hey Lissy bear. It's j-bear😉

It's Jordan. Did you miss me?

Of course not😂. How did you get my number?
