Running and Hiding

My eyes scanned around the dance floor for the closest chair. After 2 hours straight of dancing with Luke, my feet were screaming for a rest.
A loud voice screamed in my ear. "Piper! What is this miracle?? You're dancing??" I guess I had finally found Emily.
"Happy birthday Em!! Sorry got to go, there's a free chair!!" I yelled as I ran across the dance floor.

10 minutes later, my feet were still in pain. Although pain could be felt from my head to toes, this party had gone relatively well by my standards. I mean, I had met a guy with his beautiful cobalt opals as eyes and danced with him for 2 hours straight. Maybe I should come to parties more often....
"Hey Piper, mind if I join you?" My eyes drifted up to the beautiful opals and the sly grin on a perfectly shaped face.
Shuffling my chair over, I gestured for him to sit. "Thanks,". An awkward silence washed over us. I realised that even though I had danced with him for 2 hours, I knew nothing about him. But where was I supposed to start?
"Um Piper, the police are here...." once again the low voice woke me up from my little zone. Panicking, I looked around for the closest exit. It was barely visible from the amount of people pushing to get out. A firm hand reached into mine. "Here, out the window". I nodded, not really taking in where Luke was actually dragging me. Seconds later, we were out of the house. "Follow me, I have an idea of where to hide,". After finding my nod of approval, I followed Luke. Silently screaming in my head, I wondered how I had gotten into this situation. This night was supposed to be about celebrating Emily's party, not running away from a record! Pain burst through my feet as blister began to errupt on my feet. These heels were definitely not designed for running. "Hey are you alright?" The blue eyes flashed in the dark as Luke faced me. I tried to wipe the look of pain off my face, but it was too late, Luke had already seen it. With a quick look at my shoes, he realised the problem. He stepped towards me in one swift movement and picked me up like a baby. "What are you doing??" I screamed, scared of the bizarre scenario. He didn't say anything but continued to run. Soon enough we reached a small neighbourhood park that I recongnised. Luke set me down gently on the swingset and popped onto the other swing. "The police wont find us here, we're far away enough but just to be sure we should probably stay here for awhile until they've gone," I couldn't help but shutter, his voice was like melting chocolate. "Okay," I replied
