**Everly's POV**
It turns out my father bought a new California whiskey company, and made quite a profit. Needless to say that when his lawyer informed me of this on that sad day, I was shocked to hear that I was now the owner of not only that company, but also the family restaurant, and most important to me, my childhood home.
When I first told Charlie that night, she was in shock too, but she was also excited for me. She knew that this meant true freedom for me, and she was happy.
It's now been about a year since that day. I still think about my father and younger brother every day, but not as much as I think about my precious mother. I wish all the time that she was here, and that I could talk to her. But I'm so thankful that I have Charlie for that.
If someone had told me two years ago that I'd meet the love of my life, and that it would be Charlie Kind, I would have never believed them. But now, I can't even picture life without her.
I still own the restaurant and my home in California, but I sold the whiskey company for almost double what I inherited it for. Charlie and I travel to my hometown quite a bit to get away from the city life back in San Antonio, and to check in on the restaurant, but for the most part we live in Texas.
Especially now that Charlie owns the pub.
David now has two baby girls, Willow Rose and Indie Arlette with his beautiful wife Lauren, and they live just down the street from Charlie's parents. Both David and Lauren knew that they wanted to raise their children in the country, but David still comes into the pub about once a week to check in on things. He brings his girls with him most of the time to visit "Auntie Charlie".
Grey met Troy, a handsome singer, not quite a year ago, and they are the cutest couple I've ever seen. Grey is the head manager of the pub, and Troy performs on Coyote Ugly nights.
As for Charlie and I, we are newly married, and I'm still in shock. Even though I didn't really know Charlie in her womanizer days, I knew she never thought she'd actually settle down someday. But here we are, and I'm so proud to call her my wife.
We got home from our honeymoon in Fiji just a week ago, and now Charlie was overseeing the new pub sign being installed.
"Looks great guys. Make sure you come in for a cold drink on the house before you leave," she called up to them. Then she stepped back to take a look at the new pub name beside me. Her arm wrapped around my waist, and I leaned into her.
"It looks great babe," I said proudly, gazing up at her. She glanced down at me.
"You think?" she asked self-consciously. I knew how important the new name was to her, and I nodded.
"It's perfect. She would love it," I replied.
" 'Camren's'," Charlie read out loud. "She would, wouldn't she?"
I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.
"So what now?" I asked, both of us still watching the workers with the sign. Charlie shrugged.
"I'm not sure. But I'm happy as long as I'm doing it with you," she replied, smiling down at me. I smiled back.
"I love you Charlie Kind," I said softly. She tightened her hold on me, and kissed my lips.
"And I love you, Everly Kind."
