Cody's POV-

I wouldn't really call the building a school. It looked more like a rundown asylum as it stood, towering over the trees. It was built at the top of a large hill and had a view out over the forest. But this was apparently a school. A school that I had gone to for the most of my life.

Throughout the years I had created my own little path to school. Instead of following the main road that lead directly from the town to the hill, I just got up early and took the small journey on foot through the forest.

It was much more peaceful.

I walked across the courtyard and up the stairs, entering the school. Inside was a buzzing of students left and right.

The entry hall looked like something from Hogwarts, or like the large hall in London's National History Museum. All the school's halls were in a similar style, hell even the classrooms looked like something straight out of a wizarding book.

I snaked in and out through students, keeping my shoulders hunched. I hated these people. With all my heart, I hated them. All the girls were like bad parodies of The Kardashians.

Basically, way too much make up, brains the size of peanuts and the only thing they were capable of, were giving the teachers blow jobs in hopes of better grades.

Sure, there were some decent girls in this school, but they stayed far away from me. I understood why.

It wasn't that I was an asshole. I wouldn't consider myself one at least. But I hung out with the assholes of the school which automatically made me one as well I suppose.

I stopped at my locker and got what I needed. I turned to head off but was stopped by a tall figure. I looked up, blinking a bit. Chester grinned down, his yellow teeth becoming visible. His breath reeked of rotten eggs and a bit of weed. It seemed to be ever present, even when he wasn't high.

"The whole gang is going to the clubhouse after school today. Jared got his hands on some new freaky pills" His hoarse voice had goosebumps run down my spine. "you're coming too right?" He asked.

I didn't want to. He may have asked but I didn't have much of a choice. If I said no, I would be dragged along anyways.

"Yeah, of course" I grinned stiffly at him for a moment. He smirked and patted my shoulder, making me wince, before walking off.

I sighed and walked to class.

I slumped down at my desk. Most of the class was already full but the bell hadn't rung yet. I looked to the clock that hung over the door. Five minutes till class. I allowed myself the pleasure of leaning forwards and laying my head in my arms, closing my eyes.

Time went by quickly and soon after, the bell rang. I didn't bother straightening up as the teacher entered, telling everyone to quiet down.

The teacher then told everyone to pull out their books and then she turned around and began writing something on the chalkboard.

I lazily pulled out my book. I opened it and flipped through it for a moment before landing on the right page. Once I had done that, I decided, that was my max effort. I returned to my previous position, quickly dozing off as the teacher talked about homework and whatnot.

An annoying poking at my shoulder woke me from my slumber. I grunted and opened my eyes, looking up slightly. A tall boy with a shy smile whose name I couldn't remember stood in front of my desk. I had seen him before, but I hadn't really cared to get to know him, nor did I care now.
