Prompt: marriage
Freddie's POV
I waited nervously with Brian at my side as the bridal march began to play through the church. My stomach flipped with nerves as I started to turn around and eventually saw Roger with John on his arm, looking absolutely stunning.

He had to ask Roger to walk him down the aisle since his Dad couldn't and Roger had almost cried at the offer. Now, he looked very pale but proud of his best friend, looking just as smart as he did on his own wedding day.

They got up the few steps to me and Roger held John's hand then passed him over to me, patting John's back, "good luck" he whispered and both of us gave subtle nods. I helped John up the last step and the two of us faced the vicar who started to make his speech to the congregation behind us.

John squeezed my hand a little and I looked over to see he was watching me from the corner of his eye, "I love you" he whispered and I gently shook his hand. We listened to the last of the speech before we had to do our vows and I felt very lightheaded, I was so scared of getting it wrong.

I got the ring from John's nephew and placed it on the end of John's finger then repeated what the vicar said.

"I, Frederick Mercury, take you, John Richard Deacon, to be my lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold from this day forward. I promise to stay true to you for better and for worse, for richer or poorer and in sickness and in health. Until death do us part" I said and slipped the ring down before he held my hand.

"I, John Richard Deacon, take you, Frederick Mercury" he paused to have a little giggle, it was strange for him to say my whole name, "to be my lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold from this day forward. I promise to stay true to you for better and for worse and for richer or poorer. Until death do us part" he looked at me and slipped my ring on, holding my hand in both of his.

I had to close my eyes when the vicar asked if anyone had an objection to our marriage and thankfully the whole church was silent. "Okay... Freddie, I shall let you do the honours" he smiled and I looked at John then pulled him close to me and planted a kiss right on his lips as everyone started cheering. He pulled back with bright red cheeks and rested his hands on my hips, "come on, let's get to the wine" he grinned and both of us walked back down the aisle.

We went in and signed our paperwork then went outside and everyone was throwing confetti over us as we made our way to the car with the beautiful white ribbon over the front. We both sat as close as we could and John snuggled under my arm, constantly kissing my neck and saying 'I love you'.

When we got to the little club we were having our after-party at, John went straight for the wine and poured us both a glass. "Look at us, we're such a fancy married couple" he smiled and we clinked our glasses together before he downed the whole thing. "Hey, hey, hang on. I can't have you getting pissed just yet" I said and he looked at me and blushed, "sorry... can I get pissed later, though?"

"Course you can. Hell, I'll probably be pissed with you!"

I was right, the photos of us dancing the next morning proved my point, too.
