Sora panted as his legs kicked him off the ground as strong as he can. He was having his daily race with Riku, and since they tied the last time, he was determined to win this one.

Kairi, the red-headed girl trailing patiently behind the two boys, laughed loudly as Sora tripped a couple of times due to the rocks Riku managed to throw on the ground.

"Hey! Don't sabotage me!" Sora called out after Riku, who was ahead of him by a couple of feet.

Riku laughed out loud, "sorry, they slipped out of my pocket!"

As they ran through the brown door and head to the main beach where the secret cave was, Sora couldn't help but notice the little circle Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka formed around something.

Once the group halted to a stop at the end line, with Riku obviously winning, they averted their attention to the little circle.

Curious, Sora led the group in hopes to find out what created the fuss.

In the center of the circle stood a young, (color) haired girl. Her attire consisted of tight black shorts, chunky black boots, and an oversized, white long-sleeved shirt.

As Riku and Kairi continued to walk closer to the scene, Sora couldn't help but stop abruptly. His body froze in place; it was almost as if he slammed into an invisible wall.

A feeling of extreme familiarity and comfort washed over him, almost as if he knew the girl by heart somewhere.

Shaking the feeling off, he followed his friends' footsteps in hopes to uncover the girl's identity.

The girl spoke gently with Selphie, introducing herself in a weary way.

Riku pushed himself through the circle, pulling Tidus and Wakka away from her in hopes to lessen the tension.

"Why are you guys circling her, jeez." Riku rolled his eyes, then averted his attention to the girl who shot a thankful smile his way.

"So, how did you get here?" Selphie asked, smiling whole-heartedly in a friendly manner.

The girl shrugged, opening her mouth slightly, trying to muster an answer. She didn't remember how she got here, in all honesty.

But she's been through this before. This blackout; the sudden arrival with no memories. She didn't understand it.

Sora finally managed to push himself to stand beside Riku.

"(Name)." Sora said, catching the attention of the group, along with the girl's.

The girl's eyes widened, glancing at the brown haired boy in front of her. "That's my name... are you Sora?" her eyes widened in confusion.

Riku eyed his best friend in curiosity, "you know each other, Sora?"

Sora shook his head, "no, but she seems familiar to me."

(Name) nodded, she couldn't help but feel the same. As soon as she noticed Sora standing in front of her, a feeling of comfort washed her spirit. She knew him from somewhere, she was sure of it.

She felt like she needed to protect the boy from harm, cradle him in her arms from any evil.

This feeling was nagging at her not long ago, with Ventus.

Ventus...?

Then it clicked, this was the person that housed him in his heart.

Deciding it would be wise to let the poor girl rest, Riku shoo'ed away his nagging friends with haste.

As she sat alone on the bent tree branch, (Name) watched the ocean tides wash up on the shore of the island. Continuous memories of Ven flashed through her mind by the second.

It was hard to recollect her thoughts at the moment.

Hearing a bunch of footsteps behind her, the girl turned her face to the wooden bridge that led to her.

There, Riku and Sora walked shoulder-to-shoulder with the loudest of the pair waving his hands in an excited manner.

Smiling warmly, (Name) slid off the branch and landed on her feet- returning the welcoming gesture.

"Say, (Name). Have we met somewhere? I'm trying as hard as I can to remember you, but I don't think I do!" Sora sighed, rubbing his head in frustration as he and Riku sat on the branch.

Leaning her back on the tree, the girl shrugged. "I've heard of you before. Do you know Ven?" she asked, glancing at the boy.

The boy narrowed his eyes, then shook his head, "no, doesn't ring a bell."

(Name) bit her lip.

'So Ventus didn't lie when he said that Sora doesn't know him... What am I supposed to do? tell him a boy's been merged with his heart? Tell him I'm stored there! How am I even stored there if I exist here?... Isn't it against the laws of the universe for someone to exist in two places at the same time?... I need answers...'

A waving hand snapped the girl back to reality, "you alright?" Riku asked.

Taking a deep sigh, she nodded. "I was just thinking, that's all." (Name) smiled at the two males who looked at her with confusion.

"So, like I was saying, who's this Ven guy?" Sora asked, rocking his feet back and forth as he leaned closer to the girl.

Backing up, she chuckled, "he's my friend, I remember he talked about a boy named Sora, maybe it's you?" she excused herself, shrugging.

Nodding, the brunette boy smiled, "didn't know I was famous, heard that Riku? I'm stealing the spotlight."

Riku rolled his eyes, hiding the growing suspicion inside him. She knows something, he can feel it.

How can she appear out of no where on the island, bare of any memories of her arrival. Plus, she also knew Sora which was unnerving to him.

He was frustrated, but solely due to the fact that Sora stole his shining spotlight- specially from a new girl like her.

And deep down inside Sora, an immense feeling of warmth directed itself towards the girl he just met as well.

Unbeknownst to the girl, pearly hues followed her every move in wonder.

It wasn't everyday a myth was proven to be reality.
