Chapter One

   You know generally life is a very complicated thing. Just when you think everything is looking up and figured out some unknown deity, force, I mean whatever is thrown into the mix. One day I thought everything was spectacular then one person walked back into my life once again.

   The date was April 17th, 2011. My birthday had passed about three days ago and I was enjoying being twenty-five. Walking into work I smiled at the receptionist, Danny. Danny was a funny little hobbit who had a perpetual smile on his face all the time. Maybe it was because he had the iconic blonde hair and blue eyes? Whatever the reason I gave him a high five and then began to make my way back to my recording station.

   On my way there I encountered my boss; Robin. She was actually a pretty good boss compared to the previous ones I had worked for. A smile was on her face when she saw me; probably meant I already had a band waiting on me. “Hey there Taz! Your band of the day is already waiting in your studio.” Robin said as soon as I got close enough to her.

“Alright thanks Robin.”

“No problem Taz!”

   With that she continued on down her way with poor Margaret the secretary following after her. Papers were falling as the small woman tried her best to keep up with our long legged boss. Chuckling I shook my head and walked on down the hallway. Getting to the third door on the right I opened it to see six figures already warming up; Shuffle Punk.

   Their lead singer Senna Traverston was another good friend of mine; we met through Tula and I was then a bridesmaid at her wedding. She looked a bit different from the last time I saw her because her auburn hair was almost like a strawberry blonde and there was a blue stripe in it now. It was tied back in a messy bun as she pulled her baggy shirt down a bit over her dark jeans. That was weird; Senna never wore baggy shirts, ever.

   Shaking it off I smiled and waved to them when they all noticed that I had finally entered into the room. They all returned the gesture before signaling that they were ready to go. Nodding I began to wake up the system. Flicking buttons and adjusting dials and levers eventually I gave them the thumbs up. They put on their headphones and then were off.
