Analysis
Topic- Sunflower Vol. 6
Do I even have to point out the title? I know it may seem obvious to you that this relates to Larry because Louis is known as the sun, but I would like you all to remember a certain video. Remember that video when Harry was getting his hair cut and you could hear Louis call Harry "sun" in the background? I know, that just proves that Harry is the "sun" and not Louis. But sunflowers always face the sun, and if Louis calls Harry "sun" then that means that they go hand-in-hand with each other.

The chorus of the songs has Harry starting off by saying "Sunflower" multiple times. I see it as Harry calling out to his "Sunflower" as a nickname and trying to catch their attention. Then, he goes on about how he wants their person physically as he mentions how much he likes to look at them and how he wants to get "inside" to "get to know" this person. However, he transitions to a more sweet statement of thinking it's better to remember this person—Louis— than to actually talk to them. "I was just tongue-tied." When I heard this line, I immediately thought to the line from "Two Ghosts," "Tongue-tied like we've never know...". This leads me to believe that "Sunflower Vol. 6" is about the same the same person that "Two Ghosts" is about—Louis.

In the post chorus, Harry speaks that it is not his intention to make the other person feel bad, but he still needs to get his feelings out there. He has been trying his best to not talk to this person, but still refers to them as his "Sunflower." To  the refrain, he says that even though he tried his best to not talk to this person, he stills needs them, especially tonight. "Kiss in the kitchen like it's a dance floor." This personally reminds me of the line from "Habit" by Louis Tomlinson, which is, "Face to face at the kitchen table." I don't know what goes on at the Styles-Tomlinson house, but everything seems to happen in the kitchen.

The first verse speaks of wondering, head-shake, and tired eyes. This reminds me of the time when One Direction first formed. They were tired due to not being used to their hectic schedule and wondering about the future of the band. I do not know what "head-shake" means, so please let me know what you think. Then he speaks of having a "mouthful of toothpaste" before getting to know them. I hear it as they—Louis and Harry— were band mates that toured and lived together so they knew each other well before getting together romantically. Now, Harry sings about having this person's face "hung up high in the gallery" and I'm just going to assume that Harry has at least one group picture of One Direction in his house that includes Louis. When Harry says, "I love this shade, sunflower," I see it as Harry tell "Sunflower" that he loves the privacy or shade that he has in this relationship. There are not as many paparazzi bothering him about it. However, he still longs for a more trusting and open relationship as he states in the following line.

The pre-chorus and refrain are the same, except for the line, "Kids in the kitchen, listen to dancehall." Dancehall is a popular genre of Jamaican music. Jamaica is a very important place in the Larry fandom: Jamaica is where Harry wrote his last album and where Louis was seen to be at around the same time, which led to people believing they were there together.

The ending chorus changes up the original one slightly to tell a story. Then, he restates that he wants this person more than a melody, wants a more trusting and open relationship, and that he is still tongue-tied. He changes the wording of the chorus so that he could communicate to the listener that even after all that has happened, he still feels the same.

Harry ends the song with an outro of him saying "sunflower" to acknowledge the other person. But he also ends it with a bunch of weird "boop" sounds. I personally think these sounds are supposed to be mocking the end recording at the end of "Cherry." As I am sure you all are aware, Harry put his album in a certain order for a reason. As "Sunflower Vol. 6" is after "Cherry," it is plausible that any of the topics in "Sunflower Vol. 6" may be from "Cherry." This has happened before in the album when the first words of "To Be So Lonely" were, "don't blame me for falling," and the song that was before "To Be So Lonely" was "Falling."

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it! Also, the other day there were some rumors that Louis and Elk (Eleanor) officially broke up. I'm not sure if they're true though because she was with Louis' family for Christmas. Again, Happy 28th Birthday Louis!! I hope all your birthday wishes come true. Also there has been a lot of hate going toward Liam recently and I personally think he doesn't deserve all of it. What are your thoughts?
