At this point, Temperance wasn't sure if she was going to survive. Her coughing was getting more and more intense, and it felt like she could physically feel the roots choking her slowly. The pain in her chest slowly grew more and more intense, and she was throwing up bloody flowers at an alarming rate.

Then someone stormed into her room. Her vision was too blurry to even register who that is, but she dimly recognized the voices. Envy and Gluttony. She smiled. She'll die with the one she loved by her side.

"Fuck! She's getting worse! Hurry up! Say what you need to!"

Someone else coughed, but eventually they stopped. Temperance looked up through a veil of tears, and she vaguely recognized the white-and-black hair that belongs to Gluttony.

"Hi," Temperance rasped. She was mistaken. Everything isn't going to be okay.

"Hi," Gluttony responded awkwardly, then Envy slapped his shoulder. "Ow! Uh, Temperance," he said, supporting her before coughing into his own sleeve and looking back, "I—What I meant to say was that I—"

"I love you," she choked out, completing the sentence, then she fell into eternal darkness.
