"You won't ever fall in love, would you?"

"Whatever! I'm not that lovey-dovey kinda girl, and you know it."

"No one should know you better than I, right?" Zayd smiles and nods his head.

"You never wear makeup or any designer's kind of stuff. Even mother wore powder once in a while but not you. You be mermaid?"

"Huh-huh... Thanks for the complements!" I giggled at him. "That means I'm still beautiful... Why wasting time and money on beauty products that gives me no gain? Hmmm?"

"That wasn't a complement, sis... I wonder when you would change... And who on earth would marry you?"

"Hahahaaa... Seriously?" I laughed again. "Dating is a luxury... It's not like I'm not beautiful. All I know is God's plan is the best. I'm 25 and I haven't had a boyfriend. What is a relationship like, really?"

"What does it mean to find one's true love?" I smirked at him awkwardly.

"Love is sweet and silly, sis. Love is what binds the world together, to make it one. True love is whe-"

Zayd notices my attention was not there.

"Are you even listening? I thought for once in your life, you wanted to know what true love mean-" He hissed and laid himself lazily on his bed.

"Ugh! I'm so tired of this shit! I need to submit this application... I might just get hired in a media station or probably, a law firm.  Who knows?" I muttered lazily, scrolling through the email messages. My eyes caught an advertisement about single-blind dates.

"Ughhh! Some people are just insane!! I don't desire any hot nights... Isn't this weather hot enough?! Heyyy! Astagfirullah... The devil is a liar!!!" I hissed at the laptop's screen.

"What's it again, Zay? Don't blame those innocent souls... Not everyone is like you."

"Like seriously... The internet is having more disadvantages than advantages, really."

"It's 9:45 p.m now, Zay. Keep it down, please."

"Victory is in my pain, Zayd. How do I explain this to you... Only if you'll ever understand?" I muttered annoyingly, deleting some old messages from my inbox. "Spams! Spams everywhere!!!"

Just then, a message came in from w.w.w.madinahsahiling@gmail.com.

"Madinah?"

"What?!" Zayd quickly sits up and runs to me... Like it was a call to heaven.

"Do you just say madinah?!" His eyes searched the screen of my laptop as he pushed me away from it.

"Yes... But I'm not sure it's our madinah yet o."

"What? Madinah! Is it really Madinah?" He wondered, scrolling through the messages she sent. There were only three messages...

Assalam Alaikum,
I've tried connecting you, so sorry about your parent's accident. (21st September, 2008.)

I completed high school today! Just wanted to say 'Hi'. (12th June, 2015.)

I'll be coming to Nigeria very soon. I'm dying to meet you. (19th May, 2019)

"Subhanallah! It's really Madinah!!" He hugged me excitedly, puring kisses on my face.

"Stop it, Stupid!" I slapped the back of his head and pushed him away. "What was that all about?"

"You're so incredible, Zay! I'm the one to should ask you that... I'm your brother for goodness sake, not an outsider!"

"Oh really? It seems you lost all your senses whenever you hear her name." I rolled my eyes at him irritatingly.

"Are you jealous? Tell me... There's always something between you two and I wonder why..."

"As if.... Just keep it down, crazy. It's 10:00 p.m. already." I hissed and walked out of his room without saying our good night.

"Where is my Good night hug, Zay?!" He cried.

"Good night, Crazy!"I yelled angrily, my voice echoed from my room.

Zayd's P. O. V

Whatever.... It's been years since I last heard from Madinah and Zay knows it. I wonder why she's behaving so weird? Subhanallah! I'm so happy she's going to visit Nigeria.... I wonder how long she'll stay. I just hope our love was worth waiting for...

Zayd thought and slept with a big smile on his cute face.
