Author's note: FYI bold letters mean thinking
We get an early start on the day and Clay tries to change his bandages but is kind of failing because he can’t really lift his right arm. Wan walks over and helps him take the gauze off. When he takes off the gauze there is no blood, but there is a scab covering the little cut. After he gets done with that, we all break up into partners to find what we are looking for. Em and Cat pair up, Bailee and Toni pair up, and Clay and I pair up. Wan is just on his own with Fairycorn stupervising.
Clay and I start walking around the used to be village until we had found a hand cart and then we went to where the weapons office was at the old school. We picked up: 3 maces, 2 more swords, 3 spears, one small catapult, 4 cannonballs, and 5 pairs of armor. Then after that Clay and I both pull the cart back to the hide-out and put it in the dungeon. When we walk back outside we go then find Toni and Bailee. When we find them they had some of what they needed Bailee had piled up most of what we needed for the next week or so.
Toni on the other hand didn’t have any luck so far. Clay led her to where the equipment was at before it all went down. She got a bunch of large cloths, rope, clothes, shoes, socks, etc. after we got all of that loaded into a cart covering the food, then we used the rope to tie it down. After we got that into the dungeon next to the armor and weapons, we go to find and help Em and Cat. When we found them Em had found a lot of the first-aid items that we needed, but we had to go searching through the castle to find the maps that we needed.
Then Once again we piled all of that up into another cart and put a large cloth over it and tied it down. Then once again we put it into the dungeon like the rest of them. After that was all taken care of, we all went back up and I looked over at the clock and it said 12 o’ clock. Wow we spent 6 hours trying to pack what we needed? “Yeah, we did spend that much time” Wan said. “Yeah, you probably don’t realize that you were thinking out loud huh?” Clay said. “Actually I didn’t.” I replied. Then I walked over and slugged him his left arm really hard, and then he just starts laughing in pain.
Wan goes down into the dungeon to check on the supplies. After 4 hours of not hearing something Toni and I go in there. She has her dagger that her dad gave her, and I have my sword. We both walk down slowly wondering what happened to Wan. When we get down there we walk past the carts to where they have the cells. We walk a little farther and we see Wan hanging chained to the wall and he tries to mouth something to me. But it’s too late and someone jumps out from behind Toni and grabs her dagger and knocks her down.
Then she points the dagger towards me and stabs. The first one I was able to block, but the second one caught me in the shoulder. Luckily the dagger gets stuck in my left shoulder so she is defenseless. With only my right arm I bring the sword over my head and with all the strength I have in my arm swing it towards her head and cut her head off and it falls off and black liquid starts pouring from her neck and starts forming a head. After that she screams and disappears. So I run over to Wan and Cut the chains off and he falls a foot or two. Then I run over to Toni and see that she has a medium sized gash in her head from where Britttnay (The demon) had hit her with her dagger.
With all of the adrenaline wearing off I can finally feel where that dagger had stuck me. I think I might leave it in till I get up there. Wan helps me crutch Toni since she is still unconscious and we go upstairs and set her down on her area. Then I go over to where we keep the first-aid stuff and take the dagger out and clean the dagger and the wound. Then I put the gauze on it and tie it on and put my shirt back on. After I walk over to Toni and slide her dagger back into its hilt and walk over to where I sleep and lie down.
When I wake up it’s 8 o’ clock and everyone is up, including Toni. She has two butterfly bandages on her right temple where she was struck. Then I hear Clay yell, “Today we will be practicing with our primary weapons most of the time. “Cat you will be using a spear, Em you will be mace, Toni you are dagger, Bailee you will be sword training with Chris. Wan you will be catapult. And I will be bow. We already have the areas set up, go to your weapons area. Meet back here at 2 o’ clock”
I head out to the sword training area with Bailee and there are 4 dummies set up. Bailee starts randomly striking the dummy like she was some kind of ninja. So I stop her and start teaching her how to do it correctly. When she has it under control I start Practicing on my own dummy. I start off with basic swings, thrusts, and blocks. After about an hour I start working on downer cuts, upper cuts and, spinning swings. Bailee stopped practicing and started watching what I was doing. She complimented me, “Wow you are almost as good as my father was.” So I reply, “Thanks.” Her dad was the royal instructor for the royal army with sword training.
We keep practicing like that until 2 o’ clock, and we head back to the hide-out. When everyone shows up, Clay starts ranting again, “Secondary weapons, Cat mace, Em spear, Toni bow, Bailee mace, Chris bow, and Wan sword. Meet back here at 8 o’ clock. Toni and I head out towards the bow area. I pick up a heavy longbow and a quiver. There are five human dummy targets: one at 20m, 25m, 30m, 35m, and 40m. I walk over to the 40m dummy, nock my first arrow and let it fly. Looks like it hit it in the heart. Nock another one and let it fly, another to the chest.
I nock and fire the last 3 arrows one by one. I set my bow down and walk over to where Toni was and watched her fire her last 2 arrows. She hit the dummy around the top of the chest and the neck. They are all killing shots that are really cool. It doesn’t surprise me; Clay’s dad had taught them how to shoot bows when they were little and they kept practicing. We kept going at it until 8 o’ clock and walked back “home”. As soon as we got there everyone was in the kitchen eating and talking. When we walk in there I walk over to Wan and Toni walks over by Cat and Em.
