Warnings : character death

It's been over a month since Vega showed her true colors. It's been over a month since Cass joined our little family. It's been over two weeks since Vega and Remus broke free and ran away together. It's been over two weeks since Aylo died.

She didn't make it. She was to badly burnt.

We had a funeral for Aylo, obviously. It was a sunny day with open skies. She would've loved that. It was also the first time I saw Reznor cry. He loved her more than we ever could.

Reznor couldn't take it. He left us to try and find Remus and Vega. He wants to avenge his lost wife. He found two other people with quirks and the three of them are off to find Vega and Remus. He blamed me for this, partly...but so did I. How did I not realize that Vega changed? Why didn't I read her fully? Because I trusted her. Way back I also trusted Remus, and he also broke our family. How did I allow it to happen twice?

Ryker made it out okay though, and I guess that's okay...he is still at my side, most of the time. He's off traveling again. I hope to receive a postcard or a call from him soon. The last time we called he said he met a wonderful girl. I wonder how that went.

Cass just hangs around town, trying to make more friends. She also helps Patton at his little cafe. Always smiling, but I know the truth behind that fake smile. She just wants to find a home, but she lost meaning of the word.

Roman and Patton are happy together though. What did you expect from two overly happy people.

Speaking of Patton, he cried for days after the funeral. Roman, Logan and I stood by him. Roman still not knowing who she was, but doing his best to make his boyfriend happy. And as the days went by, he got better. I know that this will haunt him for a long time. He never expected any of us to die.

Logan slapped me the moment he saw me outside of his flat. He hugged me right after, saying that I was stupid and could've died. I just hugged him back and started crying, and crying and crying.

I told him everything. He just held me tighter, his own eyes glossy with unshed tears. He tried his best not to cry at her funeral, but the both of us ended up crying together on my couch, chest to chest, just holding each other.

But right now, a month later, I feel...okay. Not perfect, but okay. I still miss my family and feel like crying all the time, but I'm okay.

"You coming, Love?" Logan asks, standing up from the park bench and holding out a hand. "It is getting late and it is said to rain soon." I just smiled up at my boyfriend as I took his outstretched hand and pulled myself up.

We slowly walked hand in hand to his apartment, not wanting to leave each other just yet. As soon as we reached his apartment building, it started raining lightly. "Made it just in time." I recall thinking as we went towards his apartment.

The next moment we're both on his sofa, me cuddled up to him, watching a random movie. He wanted me to stay the night since "It will start to storm soon."

We fell asleep on the sofa. Me on top of Logan. I put my arms on his chest and rested my chin on my intertwined hands. Looking at his sleeping form. I'm just glad that I didn't loose him. I don't know what I would've done if I lost him.

Logan subconsciously tightened his grip on my back. I couldn't help but frown.

Vega knows where we are. She knows where I live, she knows that Patton and I share a flat. She knows where Logan lives. She could teleport here anytime she pleases, and take Logan away from me.

I know that I will never be able to rest untill she is found.

I slowly get off of Logan and quietly walked into his kitchen. I took out my cellphone and made a call. "What do you want, Virgil?" Reznor asks.

"I want to help bring her down. Where are you?"

The end.

A\N ~ yes, this is actually the end, it is a 'Unresolvending' as google puts it. 😂  Anyway, I wanted to thank all of you for reading this book! I didn't think that it would end this soon. And for clarification, there will not be a sequel to this book.

*Also, the chapter to my next book is out! I decided on intrulogical, because I thought that it has the possibility of being a nice challenge. The book is called Personality Disorder.

Remus is well known in his little town. Mainly because he has a personality disorder. One minute, he's your typical neighbor, the next- he insults noses for existing and has peculiar needs.

Logan, on the other hand, is a journalist wanting to retrieve the next big scoop of the century, the new serial killer in Remus' town. No one knows where the killer is from, since he kills in the neighbouring cities and towns. The killer's last known victims where in Remus' very town. Thus the reason for Logan's visit. Will he find what he came for and hopefully along the way descover the masked identity of the killer? Or will he go home fruitless, because of not getting a particular citizen out of his mind?

Again, thanks for reading! I love y'all! ~ RR
