book 1: Chapter 4: We're going home

*On the Ferry with Emmett, Rosalie and Clara*

"I'm hungry Emmy!" Clara said.

"Okay Clara. I'll get you some food" Emmett replied.

Emmett left and came back 5 minutes later with some sandwiches and crisps with a juice box.

"Thank you Emmy" Clara said, munching into her ham and cheese sandwiches.

"It's okay Clara" Emmett replied.

Emmett and Rosalie started chatting about what they'll do when they get home and how Charlie will still be in contact with Clara.

"But Emmett. How will we tell him that she'll need to go to Italy every year?" Rosalie asked Emmett.

"Good question Rose. I don't know." Emmett Replied.

"Finished" Clara said.

"Good girl. Do you want a nap?" Rosalie asked.

"No thank you Rosalie." Clara said, with a smile.

"When's your birthday Clara. Bella never told us and you've never said it." Emmett asked.

"December 26th is my birthday" Clara replied.

*When they arrive in England*

*Edward's point of view*

Right, I need to find my family. We said that I'll drive to the Ferry Station only 10 minutes away then We'll meet up then. I'll take Clara and we'll take the Ferry to Mississippi then we'll drive to Phoenix, then to Forks. It'll be a long day, but we'll get through it. Clara will be exhausted by the end, but hopefully she's asleep before we arrive at Mississippi. Hopefully we won't cross the Mental Asylum that Alice was in as a young girl because it'll bring back memories of her human life but memories can't come back because she'll be the one driving 4 of us. They are, Alice, Jasper, Clara and Esme.

I'm the one that has to take all the luggage because I'm on my own from the ride to Mississippi, to Phoenix and then to Forks. I 'should' still be in Forks High School, but it's too tiring to do all this.

*When they arrive at Mississippi Ferry Station*

Right, we're now going our own ways to Phoenix. I kiss Clara on the forehead and get a cuddle from everyone. They put their luggage in MY car and they get in theirs. Clara goes with Alice and Jasper. She looks behind her and gives me a smile which I give back. I jump into my car (Not literally) and start the engine. My car needs some gas, so I'll go to the local gas station to fill my car up. It's so lonely on my own so I turn the radio on and put a disk in while driving to the gas station. I am able to make some good manovers because of my mind reading talent.

*With Clara, Alice, Jasper and Esme*

"I really can't wait to go home" Clara said with a smile on her face.

"I wonder how Edward is. I mean he's on his home" Esme said.

"Did you take your car Jaz?" Alice asked.

"No. Why are you asking" Jasper replied.

"Because I can see a vision of us returning home and your car is at home" Alice replied.

"Al, If I was you, I would turn right to avoid Biloxi to make sure you don't want to get yourself distracted while your taking a 7 year old home." Esme said.

"How about, I park up. I get out, walk to the passengers, Jasper get out, I get in, Jasper walks around the front, gets to the drivers seat and he can drive the rest of the way. How does that sound Jaz?" Alice said.

"Fine, Just find a place where you can park. Oh, and make sure it's legal to park their." Jasper said.

Esme looked next to her to find a sleeping Clara. "Clara's fallen asleep" Esme said.

"Okay. Thanks for telling me that Esme" Jasper said "I can go slower then to make sure I don't wake her up"

"Nothing can wake Clara up" Alice said, parking in the lot outside of 'Biloxi's Mental Asylum' "This brings back lots of bad memories from my human hood"

Alice got out the car and Jasper swapped places with her. Jasper started the engine then Esme got a phone call from Rosalie.

"Hello Rosalie. This is Esme. What's wrong?" Esme asked.

"We're already at Phoenix. Where are you?" Rosalie asked.

"Still In Mississippi" Esme replied.

"Wow. We're about to drive off again. Have you heard from Edward or anyone else? How's Clara? Where are you?" Rosalie started panicking.

"Okay. I have heard from Edward. He said that he was going to fill his car up at the gas station then go to Phoenix for the night at the hotel, and then leave for Forks in the morning. I haven't heard from anyone else. Clara's fine. She's sound asleep. She's been really tired today due to the jet lag. It's probably caught up with her. Remember, she couldn't keep her eyes open. She tried to keep her eyes open during the car ride, but she fell asleep just minutes before you called." Esme said, sounding like she was saying a speech to the Volturi and her family at once.

"Wow Es. That sounded like a speech. Where are you?" Rosalie asked.

"We've just left the parking lot of 'Biloxi's Mental Asylum' Alice wanted to park their so Jasper could drive to Phoenix because she's got to be as Human as possible. I haven't offered to drive though yet as I'll be gaining unwanted attention from the humans of Biloxi Mississippi." Esme explained.

"Yeah your right. Alice has to be as human as possible. Right now, Emmett's just in the shop buying some food as he's also got to act human. He's probably buying so cookies for himself" Rosalie explained.

"Have you tried telling your husband that he can't eat due to being a Vampire?" Esme asked.

"I've tried. Doesn't mean he'll listen to me though" Rosalie giggled.

"Right. I better get off the phone. Jasper's got to concentrate, and with the smell of Clara's blood, It's really distracting him. See you Rose" Esme said.

"See you mother." Rosalie giggled.

Esme put the phone down and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. Alice did the same in the front passengers seat.

Jasper drove their way to Phoenix where they were met by Emmett, Rosalie, Carlisle and Edward.

Esme gave Carlisle a quick peck on the lips and they smiled. Rosalie took Clara out of her car seat and held her to her chest. They walked to the hotel and booked in for the night.

"5 rooms, 1 night please" Carlisle asked.

"Okay." The receptionist said, "I'll take you up to your room. What a big family you have. What are all your names?"

"I'm Carlisle, my wife Esme, my children are: Edward, Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper and Clara. Clara is in Rosalie's arms." Carlisle said.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Christabel and I'll be your room lady for the night. Where are you going tomorrow?" Christabel said.

"We're going home tomorrow. We have came from our 3 day vacation in Italy." Esme said.

"Right here you are. Good night and see you in the morning." Christabel said, winking at Edward.

"Please can you stop winking at me!" Edward said, "I'm already taken. " He added.
