Book 1: Chapter 7 : Bella and Edward's engagement

Soon The New born vampires would be arriving and a big fight would begin. 2 of the Cullen members would be having to staying with Jacob Black, Clara and her siblings: Jacob and Bella. The chosen Cullen's were Rosalie and Esme. Alice would have to give commands to the rest of the Cullen's about what will happen but intense training would have to be held before the fight against the new born Vampires. Esme would have to keep Jacob under a safe dose of sleeping tablets which where prescribed by Carlisle to make sure Jacob doesn't wake up and cry and get Victoria's attention. The last thing they needed was Jacob gaining Victoria's attention and letting Victoria kill the whole family. Edward wouldn't of been able to live with himself. He would have wanted someone to kill him.

But they had to think positive didn't they. They had to keep the children safe from everyone, including Bella. Clara was really scared to see Bella at the fight and she knew, they would have to stay together while every other Cullen was training for the fight. Clara was watching in awe and Jacob was holding baby Jacob. Clara had a smile on her face and Jacob Black was sitting on the Bonnet of Emmett's Jeep. Of course Emmett didn't mind. Jacob Black sat in the middle of Bella and Clara to stop any fighting between the two girls. Alice was really good at it and timed all of Jasper's attacks which made Clara giggle at the sight.

Alice was able to see the future so it made the fight easier on Alice's half.

The other night, Edward proposed to Bella and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes. It was at the fake 'Slumber party' which meant, Everyone went hunting while Esme stayed behind with Clara, Edward, baby Jacob and Bella. It was a fun night. Esme put Baby Jacob to bed at 7:05. Put Clara to bed 8:40 and Bella went to bed at 12:45 in the morning. Then, at 1:25, everyone else came home and Edward and Esme were finally aloud to go and hunt for the animals.

*On the day of the battle*

Today was the day of the battle between Us Cullen's and the New Born Army. Jasper had trained them intensely for a total of 4 weeks and they needed a break. Clara would sit and watch everyday but she never got bored of watching the training sessions. But today, she knew she'll have to go with Edward, Jacob, Bella, Baby Jacob and a couple others to keep everyone safe. Jacob Black turned himself into a big wolf which Clara found hilarious and she was allowed to sit on his back. She loved stroking his fur when she was on top of his back. She loved being free on Jacob's back, but the fun would have to end when she'll be whisked away with Jacob to a safe house. The safe house was the Cullen's second home. It was a two hour run from the battle field to the safe house, but they would need to get to the safe house to make sure Clara was safe. But Jacob Black couldn't leave her to collect Bella.

It was a choice he had to make. Save Bella and risk Clara's life being taken. Or Save Clara and rise Bella's live being taken. He thought 'Bella's older, Clara's younger. Clara hasn't lived a full life yet. Bella's lived longer so I'll save Clara.' It was a complicated situation, but Seth Clearwater would be there at the safe house before Jacob Black would arrive and Seth would have Baby Jacob.

"When's the battle going to start?" Clara asked Esme.

"I don't know. But you'll have to go on Jacob's back. Do you understand?" Esme said, kindly.

"Yeah. But will this be the last time I see you?" Clara asked.

"I'll try and make it out alive. Don't worry sweetheart. I won't let stupid new born Vampires hurt any of us." Esme said, with a small fake smile. She didn't want Clara to see her pain, even though Clara was very good at it only at the young age of seven and a half.

Clara through her arms around Esme and started crying. Esme placed her cold hands on Clara's back.

"It's going to be okay. Do you understand me? I will survive. They'll have to get past Emmett, which will be so hard. I'll see you after, okay?" Esme said.
