After the long study session the girls started making their way to the hospital. They walked through the children's ward stopping at Serenity's cubical.

"Serenity my beautiful baby!" Jasmine said as she pulled back the curtains of Serenity's cubical before running over to Onyx's sister and pulling her into a hug.

Onyx laughed before sitting on the chair next to her big brother Genesis and playfully nudging him and he just smiled at his little sister.

"What have the doctors said?" Onyx asked while glancing at her little sister who was chatting happily with Jasmine. Jasmine had been a family friend since her and Onyx were 9 years old. Genesis sighed before taking a sip from his coffee.

"Her temperature spiked again this afternoon. Her obs have also been inconsistent," Genesis said his eyes not leaving his baby sister and Onyx frowned.

"And the pain?" Onyx asked and Genesis turned to look at Onyx before rubbing his eyes.

"Yesterday she went from asking for pain meds twice a day to three times. The nurses say that she doesn't ask for them when she's in pain, so they have started offering them to her. Think I'm gonna stay with her tonight," Genesis said Onyx nodded. Serenity was only 14 years old so she was still in the children's ward. Which meant that she was able to have an adult stay with her past visiting hours.

"I could stay instead," Onyx said and Genesis scoffed before pulling his little sister into a hug.

"Nice try. You catching an infection is the last thing we need. You'll be okay at the flat alone?" Genesis asked and Onyx nodded.

"Yeah. Going out later with Jasmine, I'll get her to stay the night," Onyx said and Genesis nodded before looking back at his little sister and standing up.

"Dinner time. What you feeling kiddo?" Genesis asked Serenity and put her finger on her chin in fake thought before answering.

"Wing stop!" Serenity said and Genesis playfully sighed before nodding and standing up and grabbing her jacket.

"I hate that place but if the queen insists," Genesis said before kissing his sisters on the forehead and leaving. Jasmine watching him leave longingly before looking at the Blackman sisters.

"I'm utterly obsessed with your brother." Jasmine said and Onyx faked gagged as Serenity hit her with a pillow.

Cole inhaled the last of his cigarette before throwing it on the floor and stubbing it out with his foot. He exhaled deeply before looking up at the grey sky. He sighed again before walking into work. His second job was at a bar in shoreditch. He enjoyed this job much more than his first job, mainly because they gave all the bartenders shots every two hours.

He walked into the bar where he saw his manager sitting at the counter along with the other bartenders that were working today.

"Hello Mr America, nice of you to join us." His manager, Leon, said to him and Cole just smiled slightly at him.

"So guys. I don't know why headoffice insist on us doing a briefing before the shift starts. You shitheads know what to do and what not to do. The music should be good. Make tips and enjoy yourselves," Leon said and Cole and the other bartenders chuckled before laughing and going to clock in.

Onyx finished the last of her wings before the Nurse came in and informed them that visiting hours end in ten minutes.

"So where are you girls going tonight?" Genesis asked Jasmine and Onyx. Onyx shrugged before leaning over and stealing a wing from Serenity while her little sister just glared at her.
