*Madeline's POV *

I'm so sorry, please forgive me " i said grabbing paper towels and cleaning up the coeffe,"hey its ok they can just clean it up " the guy said grabbing my hands and taking the paper and throwing it away , "but that coffee was the only thing that i had this morning " he said dissapointed " i'll treat you to lunch tomorrow if you would like?" I said and I saw him smirk "okay where do i meet you ?" he said grabbing a paper and pen "well there is a good dinner by here if you want, we could go there " I said " and you could meet up with me there ?" he nodded and wrote his number and name on the paper " here call me and ill see ya ok?" he said and I nodded "by the way my name is madeline " I said smiling " nice meeting you madison im jacob , but i have to go now see ya tomorrow then ?" he said

He walked out of the hospital and I turned to my side to see Keith and dal  were looking at each other like there planning a murder."hey uh madi why you offer him to lunch?" Keith asked me with a raised eyebrow, " chill out I felt bad for dropping his coffee " I said looking at dals expression " well you ain't going alone with a cop " dal said lighting a cigarette , I couldn't help but giggle and walk out as I do I could hear Keith and dal talking about the officer and I thought something that I'll never think I'll ever say "I'm going to train to become a cop" I said with a straight face and turned around to see their expressions, " no you ain't  I forbid you !" Said Keith walking up to me, "why not " I said holding in my laughs ," actually two ,being a cop isn't a bad idea you know?" Dal said looking at me, " how isn't a bad idea, " Keith said so confused, "I'll see your hot sister in an officer's uniform and the skirts are very short ya know" dal said smirking licking his lips of imagining me in it.

I turned red and blushed ," you know I was just kidding right I don't want to be a cop" I said walking towards Keith and hiding next to him ," Jesus dal can you not think about her like that, she ain't like that" Keith said as I looked up at him like if I didn't know him "mhm" I said very nervously ,"what's that supposed to mean madi?"Keith said and I just started to walk without saying anything.they followed me and we got to the Curtis house. "Madeline!"Yelled pony and Johnny ,"hey y'all" I said walking up to them and I looked around "where's everyone?" They went to work" said pony going in the kitchen and grabbing bread, " oh , wait then Keith shouldn't you be working?" I said looking at him , " I don't have a job" he said sitting down next to me, "not surprised" I said giggling and I realized something so I looked at the clock "wait aren't me ,pony and Johnny supposed to be in school?" I said getting up from the couch.

Pony rushed out the door "holy cow, we're gonna be late!" And Johnny ran out behind too, I sighed and patted dal and Keith's head before running out behind them. "Y'all wait for me !" I said catching up to pony and Johnny,"ya ain't slow like Steve" said Johnny chuckling, "yea you can say that" I said as we take a turn and I start to see the school , I could tell my face started brighten "this school looks so pretty" I said as we slowed down."sure looks like it but hell is right inside it" said walking walking up the stairs me and pony followed, "hell huh" I said so confident and as we barely walked to the door the other students were barely getting to class and I still had to get my schedule but I said what the heck I could just go to pony and Johnny's classes instead, "hey so do I stay with one of y'all?" I said as I looked at the lockers, "well if ya want you can come with me I have science first" said Johnny looking at pony , "unless you like to have gym first" said pony and I nodded "gym sounds fun actually" as I looked at them , pony and Johnny just smiled "great let's not waste time alright" said pony while grabbing my hand "see ya at lunch Johnny" said pony dragging me to the gym, I just waved at Johnny .

When we walked out of the gym we met in the field and I just walked with pony and I looked around and the teacher came up to us, "you two are late got an excuse?" The teacher said looking at me ,"you look new" said the teacher ,"well I am" I said in a bored mood , "ponyboy here can show ya what we do here if we come late to gym class" the teacher said looking at pony like if he already knew what to do, as I looked at pony he sighed and ran across the field two times without stopping for a breath. I looked at the teacher and then I saw pony struggling for breath and I walked over to pony , "you can stop if you want you don't gotta push yourself" I said handing him a water bottle."hey he can't stop unopened completes two more!" Yelled the teacher trying to sound calm, "I'll do the rest for him after all it's my fault he's late " I said looking at the teacher , and the teacher sighed in frustration, "do six while your at it !"the teacher said as he turned back to his class and I smiled a bit.

When the lunch bell rang I walked out class with Johnny and started looking for pony and we found him on a bench all alone, "hey pony " I said as me and Johnny approached him, "hey y'all,aren't y'all gonna go get sum to eat " said pony while he was biting into the apple, "nah " I said looking at some red headed girl that was looking towards us ,"I'll get something in a bit " said Johnny looking at the sky."hey pony when school is over can you show me where the dx is ?" I said still staring at the red headed girl , "sure but why?" He said eating a sandwich, "I want to see if I can get a job there " I said looking at pony , "well all right but ya sure you wanna work there with my brother and Steve?" He said confused," well sure I don't really mind working with Steve and soda " I said smiling. I heard some footsteps coming towards us and I smiled knowing it was the redhead, "hey ponyboy" said the redhead chick ,"oh hey cherry what's the surprise of you talking to me?" Pony said confused, "well I noticed that your friend is new and I wanted to introduce myself " she said facing me ,"oh " pony said smiling, "hi my name is Sherri valance but my friends call me cherry " she said, I looked at her for a second but then I replied "Madeline, Madeline Matthews " I said smiling.

She smiled back "well nice to meet you Madeline " she said and I nodded "I got a question cause it's now running through my head" I said standing up, "sure what's your question?" She said either most joyful tone ,"are you bob sheldon's girlfriend?"
