Jungkook was frozen in his seat after hearing what his father have said, he is not ready for this. Sure, he wanted Ji Eun to know about her father's will that she obviously never heard of-- but he wanted to be selfish or greedy just for this one.
He doesn't want Ji Eun to know about it as it would break his heart because if Ji Eun will know about it there's a big chance that she would agree on her father's will since he have seen how much Ji Eun cherishes her family.
"Appa-- please"
"Jeon Jungkook sooner or later that Ji Eun girl will know about it specially with her grandfather being more powerful than us" his father replied sternly "We will go to Taejoon now and will tell him about So Geun's deal-- and son you should accept it since obviously her father thought about Ji Eun's future without him beside her" He added and left his room as he reminded Jungkook to get ready
Jungkook pulled his hair in frustration "This is getting more and more crazy" he muttered feeling himself crying
---
"Taehyung-ah where are we?" Ji Eun innocently asked while catching up to Taehyung who is walking in a full pace "Yah walk slowly!" she hissed as she was able to walk beside him
Taehyung came to her house and suddenly asked her to wear something formal and told her not to ask many questions since he said that it was a surprise but she sure is not dense to not feel Taehyung acting weird and uneasy since earlier since he is not cracking up jokes with her in the car
"it's a private place-- we're going to have a dinner here" Taehyung replied forming a thin line on his lips "I should've asked you in school earlier so we wouldn't be late like this" he added
which made Ji Eun confused "Is someone waiting for us?" she asked as they have reached the elevator and Taehyung pressing the fifth floor "I don't know but suddenly I'm getting nervous"
Taehyung faced her and held both of her shoulders to made her face him-- she slightly gasped as she just noticed how Taehyung looks so stunning wearing a dark blue suit "Ji Eun" he suddenly said in a serious tone which made her gulp
"Please just be yourself and don't be nervous okay?" she nodded as taehyung sigh "we will be eating with Jungkook's father tonight and my parents together with my uncle taekwang" he tapped Ji Eun's head as he avoided her gaze "I still don't know if Jungkook is there"
"Are you kidding me? Yah Kim Taehyung!!!" Ji Eun panicked but before she can say anything the elevator have reached the fifth floor as Taehyung walks ahead of her as she have no choice but to follow "Just save me if I did something stupid" she added sighing making herself ready
Taehyung smiled and draped his arms around Ji Eun's shoulder squeezing it "I will"
Taehyung took a very deep breath looking at the nervous Ji Eun as he slowly opened the door revealing the people that they are bound to have dinner with-- Taehyung is smart enough to know that there's going to be a big ass problem since it involves Ji Eun
they bowed together as Taehyung's parents gave them a warm smile except for Jungkook's father and Taehyung's Uncle Taekwang
"Took you long enough" Jungkook's father said sternly not even looking at them which made Jungkook glare at his father
Ji Eun suddenly looked at Jungkook beside his father nervously as Jungkook avoided her gaze-- "Take your seats" Taehyung's mother softly said as they took a seat on a korean traditional Hanjeongsik which is a very fancy korean table they sat down side by side
"Let's not make this dinner longer" Taekwang started "So Ji Eun-ssi you don't have any idea why you are here right?" he asked as Ji Eun doesn't know what to answer Jungkook hurriedly interrupted
"just say it"
Taekwang took out a paper which contains the deals that they have made with Ji Eun's father 10 years ago "Please check this Ji Eun-ssi"
trembling-- Ji Eun took it and started reading it. Everyone was silent as they are all looking at her waiting for her priceless reaction. Sure, Taekwang and Jungkook's father is the most excited one about it.
"I-is this f-for real?" She asked looking up to them "is this really for real? did father really sold me?" She added as tears started forming in her eyes as Taehyung hurriedly squeezes her knees below the table
"Well he didn't sold you" Jungkook's father started "So Geun already knew that he and his wife is in a great danger and he knows that they will soon die since they have committed a sin to some big company which I am not going to mention-- not today. But let me guess, you don't know the reason why your parents keeps on coming to Seoul right? what did they tell you?"
"T-that they are w-working for my f-future"
"Well that is not wrong they indeed keep on coming to korea for a reason which is for your future, it was not that long when your parents have known that your Grandfather actually made So Geun; the second son to be an heir after throwing him to Busan and the reason why your Grandfather threw him out because your father has never been serious about his works and kept on gambling-- then suddenly your Grandfather knew about you his first ever grandchild, he was doing his best to get you away from your father as he wanted you to have a good life so he reached out to your father once again clearly not giving a care about your mother. Your grandfather promised your father that he will have a percentage on his company if he will give you to him and your father being greedy as always made his decision and told your grandfather that when you reach 18 you will be sent out to your grandfather" He stopped drinking his wine as everyone was all silent except for Ji Eun who is bawling her eyes out as Taehyung is beside him comforting him "Your Grandfather still doesn't know what your father did about you, and since next month you'll be 18 and clearly your grandfather will take you by that time-- so we would like you to tell your grandpa about us which is your father's debtor"
"Should we continue Ji Eun-ssi? there's more to come" taekwang smiled
