One night near Christmas, Remus and Tonks were heading back home after another tiring meeting – four hours of hearing Moody saying: "Constant vigilance!". They were holding hands and were so concentrated on their conversation that they didn't realize Tonks got stuck in snow.

"You're too small!" Remus laughed before lifting her up.
"And you're a giant!"

He helped her move on a path that wasn't covered in snow and told her to close her eyes.
"Where are you going?"
"You will find out in a minute!"

It wasn't long before Tonks felt the hit of a snowball in her arm. She saw him smirking from far away.

"So you want a snowball fight, don't you?" she shouted while making a snowball.
"I'll win!"
"I don't think so!"

Both of them were focusing on the blizzard of snowballs. The snow was covering them, making them look like two walking snowmen. After half an hour, tired, Tonks stopped in the middle of the street and looked for Remus. She wasn't seeing him anymore.

She flinched for a second when she felt two arms wrapping around her waist. Remus apparated right behind her back.

"You were looking for me, weren't you?" he asked, kissing her red cheeks. She arranged his scarf and looked into his soft eyes.
"I guess... I'm the one who won..."
"Only this time! It's not my fault Moody bores me, I'm so tired after his meetings!" she said, frowning.

It began to snow. When Remus was about to kiss her, she stumbled in the snow. He tried to catch Tonks, but they both fell near a snowman. Its head fell down on Remus' body. Tonks stood up immediately.

"Remus, I am so sorry!"
She helped him get up and whispered, "Reparo!". The snowman came back to normal. Remus remained in the snow as Tonks sat on her knees to help him get rid of the snow on him.

"Are you alright? I am so, so sorry..." She paused when she saw him laughing.
"Don't worry, I'm alright." he responded. "Just look at my nose," he showed her his cold and red nose, "from now on, you can call me "Remus the Red-Nosed Werewolf!" ".
"Really? Was that supposed to be funny, Lupin?"
Remus tried to fight a grin.
"I can't believe you said that."

Remus covered his face with his beanie before both of them burst into laughter.
"We should go now, Remus the Red-Nosed Werewolf! I don't want you to catch a cold because of my clumsiness."
Still smiling, Tonks ran her hands through his hair to get the snow off of his hair, and then he placed a warm kiss on her lips.

It was getting late. Remus took her hand on his own again. His heart was pounding. After many years, he wasn't spending Christmas alone. "Not this time!" he thought.
