THE PRINCE OF MURRAE

SEVEN DAYS LATER...

EXT. DANCHU MARKET – DAY

Esmeralda roams the market starving hoping to find food. She makes her to an apple vendor and pleads for an apple.

ESMERALDA

Please just an apple and I'll be on my way. (Coughing)

APPLE VENDOR

Didn't you hear what I told you? Go you're chasing away my buyers. Carry your disease and leave. (Spits on Esmeralda)

She falls back and hits some guards. Before the guards could react, a young man in an expensive white robe interferes.

YOUNG MAN

(To the vendor) Give her some apples, I'll pay. (To Esmeralda) Go clean yourself up, you don't look well. (To the guards) Let's go.

Esmeralda is lost in his eyes. She soon snaps out of it. She quickly runs after the young man. The guards didn't see her coming, she grabs his robe.

YOUNG MAN

(To the guards) Wait!

He stares into her eyes and her beauty is mesmerizing.

YOUNG MAN

(To Esmeralda) What do you want now?

GUARDS

She probably just wants money. (All laugh!)

ESMERALDA

(Crying) Senor, please it's a matter of life and death.

YOUNG MAN

Are you trying to extort money from me because I gave you some apples?

ESMERALDA

Senor, I have a friend who was brutally attacked by a gang. He's currently receiving treatment. Please help me save him.

YOUNG MAN

Huh... Don't worry senorita, all is well.

The young man and his guards leave the market. Esmeralda grabs the apples and goes her way. She hopes Bernard survives.

CUTS TO:

INT. THE PRINCE'S CHAMBERS – DAY

The prince enters his bath tub to take a relaxing bathe. Esmeralda voice pleading keeps echoing in his head. He could still see her beautiful face. He quickly jumps out of the bath tub and calls in a guard.

GUARD

My prince you called?

PRINCE KAZIM

Yes, I have a job for you. Go through all the infirmaries in Murrae and locate someone whose been attacked by thugs in the past week.

GUARD

Wouldn't the citizens claim to be attacked since you're searching for this person?

PRINCE KAZIM

I know and that's why it has to be confidential. It's only between us both.

GUARD

Yes, my prince.

The guard leaves and the prince keep thinking of Esmeralda.

PRINCE KAZIM

(In his thoughts) We will meet again.

THREE DAYS LATER...

INT. THE HEALERS (INFIRMARY) – DAY

Noah returns after working for many days with his earnings, sadly they weren't enough but he hopes the doctor accepts half of the payment.

NOAH

(On his knees) Doctor, please treat my brother though I have only half of the payment, I'll...

DOCTOR

(Cuts In) All the bills have been paid. You have nothing to worry about anymore. Treatments on Bernard have already begun.

NOAH

(Surprised) Who made the payment?

DOCTOR

He prefers to remain anonymous. He also left a little amount of money for you and your brother.

NOAH

(Thankful) Thank you doctor, thank you. I pray God rewards him whoever he is.

He sits outside the infirmary praying Bernard survives. Tears roll down his eyes
