INT. SAI'S HOUSE – DAY

Sai is now irritated and annoyed by Esmeralda's brothers. He wants them out of his house as soon as possible. The food supplies are reducing and so as his money.

KENDRICK

You can't just tell us to leave like that

SAI

Look I'm sorry but you have a week and you're out. I can't afford to keep you here anymore.

KREST

Sai leaves them and judging by the look on his face, they know he is serious but they have nowhere to go.

INT. UNFINISHED BUILDING – DAY

Esmeralda returns home with news for Yakamo. She has a long face that made Yakamo to worry.

YAKAMO

What's wrong Esmeralda?

ESMERALDA

I have bad news, really bad news.

YAKAMO

What is it? Did someone die?

ESMERALDA

Worst! (Pauses) I got a job!? (Laughs)

YAKAMO

(Sighs) You scared me! What's the job?

ESMERALDA

I'm the new chef of Gustavo's restaurant. Now you can stop begging on the streets.

YAKAMO

Esmeralda is about to close when a well dressed young man walks in. Esmeralda turns to see the handsome man gazing at her. He looks familiar.

ESMERALDA

(To herself) He is the same man that bought me an apple a year ago (Walks to him) Senor, do you remember me? I'm...

PRINCE KAZIM

Esmeralda! How can I forget?

ESMERALDA

(Surprised) I don't recall telling you my name.

PRINCE KAZIM

(Sits down)Oh you didn't. Bernard did though.

ESMERALDA

(Happy) He's okay?!

PRINCE KAZIM

Alive and healthy, now I would like your best dish.

ESMERALDA

Sorry, we're closed and...

PRINCE KAZIM

I saved your friend's life and you can't even get me something to eat?

ESMERALDA

That's not... Okay, I'll prepare something. (She leaves)
