It was now three days after helping Bowser earn a new image as just a monster and people started to see him for his personality but after that they all started training to be in the tournament but they don't even know what the event is for the tournament but they would soon find out as everyone gathered in the town square so peach could announce the sport for this tournament

Mario: Man I can't wait to see what the sport is

Luigi: whatever it is Luigi will be number one

Bowser: nice try Luigi but the real number one is already here

Mario: (smirk)wow Bowser you think I'm number one how thoughtful of you

Bowser:n-n-no I'm number one

Mario: not after I wipe the floor with you

Bowser: (smirk)ha I'd love to see you try

Luigi: I remember when flirting wasn't so competitive

Bowser and Mario were silent for the remainder of the time until peach came out of the castle with a mic in her hands

Peach: Attention everyone I'm here to announce the sport for our tournament this time we will have three cups to this tournament, the mushroom cup, the flower cup, and the star cup and this tournament will be played as doubles matches and finally the sport for this event will be...... Volleyball!!

Cheers rang out from the crowd, almost everybody loved volleyball

Peach:the teams have been selected at random and will be displayed on this board

A holographic board popped up in the sky and the teams were displayed one by one, Luigi with donkey Kong , Wario with waluigi, toad with Yoshi, blue toad with pink Yoshi, green toad with blue Yoshi,Bowser Jr with Diddy kong, peach with daisy, and Bowser with Mario

Luigi: well looks like I got donkey Kong as my partner

Mario and Bowser weren't really paying attention as they were too surprised that they actually got teamed together

Luigi: umm guys

Mario: huh

Luigi: you guys aren't too upset that you're partners right?

Bowser: upset no why?

Luigi: oh nothing it's just you guys seemed a little distracted that's all

Peach: the match ups have been decided for the first round please bring your attention to the screen

In the first round it's Bowser Jr and Diddy Kong vs toad and Yoshi , peach and daisy vs Luigi and donkey Kong, blue toad and pink Yoshi vs green toad and blue Yoshi, and Bowser and Mario vs Wario and Waluigi.

Bowser: well since we're on the same team you'd better not slow me down

Mario: same thing to you

Luigi: and here we go again

Peach: everyone make sure to get some rest and eat eat healthy because tomorrow the first rounds of the mushroom cup will begin

Mario: well I guess we'll have to win this thing tomorrow

Bowser: um yea we're unbeatable

Mario: yea we are

It was now night time and everyone was in their homes sleeping getting ready for tomorrow,... Well almost everyone, both Mario and Bowser were in their homes, both still up and thinking about one another especially after what Luigi said, neither one would ever consider the fact that they like the other
