Hello! First of all, I'd like to thank you for deciding to read this story. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
This story is written in two perspectives or points of view: Lana's and Felix's. This may be confusing as the story progresses on, but I'll try to make it as clear as possible for you to tell who is experiencing that certain part of the story.
Some sentences in this story will be written in German, due to Felix's background. These sentences should be relatively easy to translate, but I'll include a small section at the end of the chapter translating them to English. Also, due to the fact that Felix does not speak a large amount of English, his sentences will be choppier throughout most of the story. Lana will eventually help Felix with his English speaking abilities, but it may be slightly hard to understand at the beginning of the story.
One of the smaller themes in this story is a mental illness called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or OCD for short. OCD is an anxiety which causes intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and as a result of those thoughts causes the victim to do unwanted, repetitive actions (compulsions). Lana has a mild case of OCD and it will show at some points throughout the storyline. I hope that no one will be offended by my portrayal of the disorder. I'm pretty confident about writing about OCD, probably due to the fact that I have been diagnosed with this disorder.
Thanks again for reading! I hope you enjoy it!
