A couple watched their three year old son happily playing with some colored wool blocks. Little noises of joy came from the little red bundle, as the young child explored his new world.
"How do you like those Grian?" His mom smiled at her adorable son.
"Ge-Ge? Yes!" Grian replied.
"Ohh how is my little pumpkin?" His dad scooped the little kid up, ruffling the thin soft strands of blond hair.
"Dada!" Grian squealed with glee, jade eyes opened wide to take in the world.
His mom and dad both smiled as they put their child back down on the floor. Grian ran off, playing with the blocks again.
"He is so cute!" An older woman meandered in. "I'll watch him for a little bit, so you can work on that project."
"Thanks sis," Mrs. Seys replied. She turned towards her husband. "You ready?"
"I'm always ready."
The couple walked down into their basement while their son played with his aunt. Grian knew nothing about what his parents were doing. He would come to learn this, but knowledge always comes at a cost.

A tall masked figure loomed over a small crowd clad in similar attire. The voice matched the wearer of the mask, as it was twisted in such a way to warp any recognition. The long black robes also disguised any distinguishable traits.
"You will be unleashed soon." Silver artfully laced down one sleeve, creating a foreign language. "Soon we will have ultimate power! The galaxy will be ours. I sense that our helper will come soon."

Hello all my readers and welcome to the first book of the time series! For all the new readers to my channel, welcome! I'm happy to have you here :D. For the older ones you may have remembered me publishing this in my earlier times on Wattpad. I have made a few adjustments but this is going to be my reset book. Basically means that I am taking a "break" from Shapeshifters so I can reset my writing creativity. I still will work on Shapeshifters! (I am also temporarily taking down Forgotten Kingdom.)
