Normal POV

By the time I returned to the cave i was exhausted from my lack of food.  As soon as I found my "borrowed" blanket I fell asleep before I hit the ground.

The smell of fresh rabbit me out of my sleep.

I shot off of the ground and jump to where I could smell it.

At the time I didn't care where it came from as I considered it the grace or stupidity of some other animal that may become my next meal.

As I am about to devour the final rabbit I freeze as I become aware of the breathing of another large creature near by.

As I quickly spin around snarling to confront this new threat my eyes widen and my snarl fades to a soft growl as I take in the size of this newcomer.

He is twice as tall as a normal man and three times as wide.  He had a full beard that could put a viking in his place.  He had a mess of long unruly hair.  The most prominent feature that I saw on him was a pair of kind eyes with no hints of disgust or hate.

"'Ello,"  he said, "my name's Rubeus Hagrid, you wouldn' 'appen to be Ruby Storm would ye?"

At this my eyes narrow and my snarl immediately returned as I thought that this man was here to kill me, or even worse, put me in a cage.

"Easy now, easy, I'm not gonna 'urt ya."

My eyes widen widen once more because this is ussually about the time that they would either yell out in glee that they have caught me or scream in fear, yet this man had merely tried to calm me and hasn't made a single move to capture or hurt me the entire time that he's been here, however long that's been.

"If ye are 'er then I've got somethin' for ye," he says as he pulls a letter from one of his oversized pockets.  "They're usually sent by owl but we didn't want ya eating someones owl for a little snack."

As he places it on the ground I slowly inch forward and I freeze in shock at what is written on the letter.
