Ruby POV

I decided that these people would be different.

I mean, they're magical to aren't they?

I decided that I should take a leap of faith and give my trust to Hagrid who had shown nothing but kindness to me in the short time that I've known him.

I slowly walk to the front of the cave where Hagrid is patiently waiting for me to make my decision.

As I grow closer to where he is standing I begin to feel something that I've never felt before.

With each step toward him I can feel myself becoming more and more confident and bold.

I have made up my mind.

I, Ruby Storm, am done running and hiding from my problems.  I am going to face them head on and overcome any wall that is placed in my way.  I will not let fear cage me.

When Hagrid looked up at me I decided to show him the other side of me.

So for the first time in three months.

I changed.

Hagrid's POV

When I heard the whisper of paws on stone behind me I turned around thinking that I would have to be very careful with everything I did.

When I first asked her name she immediately thought I was going to harm her.

She looked so afraid and I was worried that she would attack me before I could say anything.

I can't believe that anyone would try to harm her, she is so beautiful in this form that I was in awe when I found her.

Her fur shone as though it had and inner light of it's own, the only spot that it was interrupted was a scar that went from her right jawline to right beneath her eye.

The most shocking part of her was her eyes, a piercing orange that seemed to see through you.

When I turned around I was shocked at what I saw.

That same tigress that I thought was going to attack me out of fear was walking up with a boldness that I hadn't seen in it before.

Then, to my surprise, she changed.

A sudden light surrounded her body making it impossible to see her for a few seconds and when it was gone I gasped in awe.

Her blood read hair went down to her shoulders.  The scar was still there but her eyes had something else in them.  In her eyes there was a life and a boldness that I hadn't seen in them before.

She just smirked at me then said, "I accept."
