Sheila

I woke up with sunlight shining into my face. I let out a little groan as I hid my face from the sun by snuggling into my mate. I heard him let out a sigh as he wrapped his arms tighter around my frame.

"Mm, good morning, Zaivinth." I mumbled and kissed the crook of his neck.

"Good morning, Darling." He kissed the top of my head in return.

"What's the time?" I raised my hands to my eyes and started rubbing them.

"Five till eight." I hummed out my reply. Then my eyes snapped open.

"Breakfast! We can make it to breakfast!" That would be a first in forever. Breakfast was at eight thirty, but Vince and I schedules always clash so we never make it in time.

I flipped off the covers on me and jumped out of bed, only for my legs to buckle. Which resulted in me falling flat onto my face. "Sheila!" I heard Zaivinth shout my name, though I just groaned and tried to push myself off the ground. I felt his arms wrap around me again helping me to my feet again.

"I'm sorrrry," I groaned out, rubbing my nose who took the majority of the pain.

"If you are sorry, then stop doing this. You jump out of bed every morning, for what? To fall?" He pinched my nose. "I know you are hungry, but please refrain from eating the floor." He teased me with a smile now on his face. I laughed and swatted his hand away from my face.

I hugged him, while looking up at him. I raised my hands to his shoulder and he looked at me confused. "Up," I said childishly as I stood on my tippy toes.

"Oh you want me to carry you," he chuckled and I blushed deeply, realizing what I was doing. "Well, anything for you baby." My stomach bursted with butterflies as he wrapped his arms around my butt, lifting me up onto him.

I rested my head in the crook of his shoulder. I sighed in content as we started getting ready together. It was very important to get to breakfast today because that would be the start of the plotting to meet with the sirens. Though there was a thorn in my side. A very handsome, lovely, brilliant, thorn, that I needed to shake off before meeting with the fishies.

We made it to breakfast in no time at all. Today would be the first time I get to see the people of my castle, though there is only one person I want to see right now. It would normally be two people. Though like always, Weni had disappeared to who knows where.

The guards opened the large door, after bowing to us first. I noticed their worried glances at me. Dragons were very territorial, surprise, surprise, and me being injured and sick meant that the entire kingdom was on high alert. It was a nice feeling, though I didn't like the fact that everyone was high strung.

We walked inside and I instantly saw my victim. He was sitting at the table, looking into his full plate of food, with no expression. I furrowed my brows, what was wrong with Xion? It was my first time seeing him. What could be the matter?

I slowly strolled over, and from behind I placed both my hands on his shoulder. I felt him jump, then turned his head in my direction. I smiled, "good morning!" It felt like I hadn't seen him in forever.

His mouth dropped and then out of nowhere he stood and hugged me. I gasped, then I hugged him back. We stood there for a little while, I didn't want to break the hug because I wasn't the one who hugged first. Sometimes it was better for the person who hugged first to break it on their own time. In this case, Xion needed this hug, and I would give it to him. "How have you been?" I said with a smile on my face. It was so good to see family.
