Yawning, Akira sat down at his desk. It was only 7:56, which was early for him. His classmates were surprised he made it to first period at all.

The mess with Akami was improved significantly with Sayori's help. He was less panicked than before because of it.

Last night, Akami slept in the guest bedroom. She was afraid to be alone, so he'd stayed with her until she fell asleep. This meant he only got 5 hours of sleep: half his usual amount.

Akira didn't recognize his error until the teacher walked in and took roll. Apparently, she didn't notice him.

"Now class," she said, "Akira isn't present today due to his expulsion. I want to see peak performance today, got it?"

A chorus of "Yes Ma'am" swept the room before Akira stood and proclaimed, "Fuck! I forgot!"

The teacher was less than amused.

"Akira?"

"Yes?"

"You're forgetful." she said. "I get it. But I don't understand how you can forget you've been expelled, and frankly, I don't buy it."

Akira nodded and hummed thoughtfully as she spoke.

She continued, "I'm going to pretend I don't see you. If anyone else important does, you'll have legal troubles. Now get the hell out of my class!"

Akira smirked and headed for the door. "A teacher, with explicit language? That's some classy shit."

When Akira got home, he found that Sayori hadn't left.

"Its my day off," Sayori explained, setting a plate of food in front of Akami. "What are you doing back? And why didn't you give the girl some food? I think she has amnesia, so I scheduled an appointment foe tomorrow."

Akira laughed. "Well, you see, I was suspended yesterday. I forgot and went to school. Also, Akami materialized of out nowhere."

Furious, Sayori growled, "What the hell? This better not be some dumb ploy."

Pushing a button on the house phone allowed her to hear proof of the events from yesterday.

Akami had finished her food and headed outside.

"Listen, Aki," Sayori started, "this isn't looking good. You got expelled and brought a girl home last night. If you aren't gonna be at school, you need to get a job to help support Akami until we figure out what happenned."

Solemnly, he nodded his head. Even though he picked her up on the street, Akami had a place in his heart already. Not much else did. Because of that, she was Akira's main priority at the moment.

The two siblings walked over to the door and went outside. The sight of Akami looking at the garden excitedly made them both smile a bit. They hadn't been so happy about plants since they were little.

Sayori, at 23, had been elated when her parents told her Akira wanted to live with her. Remembering how much he loved flowers as a young boy, she'd had them put in. It had fallen into disrepair lately.

Akami knelt at a patch of wilted red spider lillies. The sad look she gave them made Sayori feel guilty. "Poor flowers..."

The soft voice from Akami said, "Poor lillies. You were so pretty once, I'm sure."

She leaned over and gave the petals a small kiss. For a moment, the wind picked up and things seemed a little brighter. Focusing in on the plants, Akira cursed, "What the f*ck?"

The spider lillies were beautifully bloomed. Not a single leaf or petal was wilted, and they were possibly more beautiful than they'd originally been.

A masculine voice startled Akami, her head turning in alarm.

"Well well. Looks like the newborn goddess already found her touch."

A/n: I went digging around. I have zero plot points for this. Just like seven stories I'm not working on, plus WII... Wait. Written in Ink has an interesting abbreviation. Oops.

Anyway, I have to craft a new storyboard from scratch. Can't wait.
